Prologue: Great Red's idea, Ophis's decision

Silence spread through vast space of the Dimensional Gap. Mix of iridescent colors, the endless Void, home for the Infinite Dragon God Ophis. Looking at her birthplace, Ouroboros always remembers how someone dear to her described being here as ''looking through a kaleidoscope''. All was silent,just how she loved,until she heard the mumbling of of an uninvited tenant.  Sighing, she headed towards the voice

''What are you muttering about, Baka-Red, you're distracting me.''

Great Red grumbled, not looking at her

''Distracting you? From what, doing nothing?''

''Exactly. Now, tell me what's this about,or I will punch you.''

''Alright, alright, no need to threaten me. I was just looking at how hatchling was doing.''

Ophis's mood grew sore after Red's words. She knew of her dear friend new life and how miserable and sad it was. Ophis watched him from the time he was born, to the age of thirteen. After that, she stopped, because she couldn't see her friend living like that despite all he had been through in his previous life

''I see... he's still being held in that wretched place?''

Dragon of Dreams chuckled lightly hearing worry and sadness for the one they both know. To think that Ophis can care about someone so much. He  remembered again how exceptional and special Issei was and will always be

''Actually, no. He got out of the that place and is now in his third year of high school.''

''... you are not lying to me, Red? Because if you are, I will give you a beating of a lifetime.''

Even though she knew that Great Red was telling the truth, she needed to make sure. To make sure that one she cares about as family finally doing better

''Why would I lie about something like that? I care about him too,you know? But,sorry to say,he still has many problems ahead. And he sure as hell will need to deal with that man.''

''So, it is like that. ''That man'' will surely do something to bring his masterpiece back. Can Ise pull it off?''

True Dragon grinned at this, and answered her with voice filled with pride and confidence

''Of course he can, Ophis. Had you already forgotten abou who we are talking about? Although I suspect some kind of master plan from his ''father'', I fully believe that Issei, or rather Kiyotaka will surely prevail. Believe in him too, it's the only thing we can do''

Infinite Dragon sighed before smiling weakly,hoping for Issei's well being

''I suppose you're right. Now, show me what he has been up to all these years. I will bring Lilith as well.''

DxD became quite for some time, thinking about the decision he will make

''Ophis. Before this, I want to talk to you about something. It's about those reincarnated supernatural beings. You know who.''

After Red mentioned them, Ophis lost all positive emotions she was feeling. Disgust showed itself within her. Of course she knows. Betrayers and cheaters. Liars and the main reason for the creation of a new era. Era, where she can't be by his and Vali's side.

''...Do not ever mention them to me. They all would be dead already if not for the fact that Ise's presence saved them. Again.''

''Look, I know how you feel, I really do. But, I watched them. You might not believe me, but they are trying to find him and correct their mistakes. Reincarnation grounded them, made them realize their wrongdoings. Especially those fiancees of his.''
