"It is going on twelve thirty-seven right now. So it's a good enough time to keep talking. I'm listening. Ooh, and reading. Listening and reading."
~ping first caller incoming~
The silent announcement sounded, vibrating the walls a bit, and she turned the sound down on her end.
The screen opened up much wider since she had her first call of the night, and it was not only a call but a face-to-face one.
"Hello?" The voice came through before the face did.
She waited for the screen to load before speaking. Funny enough, the voice sounded again, "Hello?" a bit louder this time, thinking there was a connection error, hoping it wasn't as he wasn't as savvy as it was.
The screen fully loaded, matching the voice to the face,
"Hi?"
There was a hint of a smile once her voice came through on his end. He was happy he had gotten the connection correct and that the vision before him wasn't hallucinating and speaking to him.
"Hi." She smiled as she adjusted her seat, smiling at his "Hi" response to her "Hi."
"Hi. Happy sad. Where are you riding off to?"
His cheekbones were visible as he smiled harder, the helmet restricting his facial movements.
She sat quietly, waiting for a response. He shrugged before slowly pulling off the heavy black headgear. His entire face is prominent now. And wow, what a face it was."I ain't want to show myself too much." He explained that he had disappeared a bit because he had placed the heavy-duty equipment on a table that was out of frame.
"But, can I ask two questions?" she nodded once he looked her way, her viewers intrigued as the comments slowly stopped.
"Another question?" She checked her announcement page above her screen. Before glancing back at the man as he adjusted himself in his screen, his face coming closer than before.
"You have to pay for that." He smiled as he looked deeply at her. "How much?"
Now was her time to smile. "That all depends on you, sir." She flashed the prices for her rates quickly before removing them once more.
She noticed the chat moving as several people reminded the man where to look for the prices and where and how to pay for what he wanted. He got the hint as he moved off-screen and leaned back just a bit, another phone coming into view.
She watched with hinted delight as she saw a tiny blue light flicker above her screen, alerting her of a new purchase and the words she was meant to say coming into view.
The man leaned forward into the screen again, watching as he rested his face in his palm. She braced herself. "Kentrell."
