As the school bell rang, abby made her way to her locker to grab her books for the next class. However, she was stopped by a group of girls who stood in her way.
"Hey, abby , what's up with you not coming to our parties ? think you too holy for us ?" One of them said, snickering.
Abby's heart sank. She knew what was coming next. She had been bullied before for her faith, and it seemed like it was never going to stop.
The girls continued to taunt her, making fun of her and her religion. abby tried to ignore them, but her eyes were filling up with tears.
Just then, her best friend, alexa , walked by. She noticed abby's distress and immediately came over to her.
"What's going on love ?" alexa asked, glancing at the girls then back to Abby .
The bullies immediately backed off. They knew they couldn't mess with alexa. She was known to be tough and always stood up for what was right.
abby couldn't believe how lucky she was to have a friend like alexa. She had always been there for her, through thick and thin.
alexa put her arm around abby's shoulder and walked her to class. As they walked, abby couldn't hold back her tears anymore. She told alexa everything that had been going on, how she had been bullied for her faith, and how it had been getting worse every day.
alexa listened intently, her eyes full of empathy. She knew how hard it was for abby to be different in a school where everyone wanted to fit in. But she also knew that abby's faith was something to be proud of, not ashamed of.
"I'm here for you, abby. Always." alexa said, giving her friend a warm hug.
From that day on, alexa made sure to stick by abby, no matter what . abby felt grateful to have a friend like alexa, who not only stood up for her but also accepted her for who she was.
