☾⋆⁺₊🎧✩°。Eventually, despite his doubts, Hongjoong found himself burrowed into Wooyoung's group of friends whether he liked it or not, experiencing something he'd never felt before.
He'd been close with Jongho and Yunho in his hometown, the three of them inseparable.
They were his best friends, over at his house more often than they were ever at their own, but this was different somehow and the only thing Hongjoong could really think to blame it on was Wooyoung.
Wooyoung and his stupidly good taste in friends.
Hongjoong wasn't exactly sure how it happened, but if he wanted to be especially boring with the details, he could say it all started at a local ramen bar Wooyoung had taken him to, an approximate ten minute walk from the skatepark.
It was one restaurant in the dauntingly short list of places Wooyoung hadn't taken Hongjoong to yet, and so the elder had agreed without much thought, painfully hungry and blessedly oblivious up until he made his way back to the table with his ramen, and found Seonghwa and Yeosang squished together in the booth across from Wooyoung.
"You didn't say the kid was coming." Seonghwa had grumbled right as Hongjoong sat down, and Hongjoong had promptly watched both Wooyoung and Yeosang tense up in their seats, eyes meeting with concern.
"I'm not so happy to see you either."
Wooyoung slapped a hand over his mouth at the same time Yeosang bit into the skin of his thumb, the two of them somehow taking up enough fear in the room that Hongjoong was left without any.
He was beyond caring at that point.
He had truly reached his limit when it came to Park Seonghwa.
The elder raised a suspecting eyebrow at Hongjoong's sudden courage, his usual perceptive frown turning into a sideways smirk that crawled up his face daringly.
"Bold are we?"
"Not bold," Hongjoong shrugged. "Just honest."
"Holy shit...?" Yeosang marveled under his breath, sinking further into his seat.
"How come you're here anyway?" Seonghwa questioned with a flaunt to his wrist, leaning forward over the table like he had all day to be an asshole. "Why did you choose Wooyoungie of all people to follow around like a lost puppy, huh?"
"Are you jealous or something?"
Ah, yes, answer questions with more questions.
Great on the defensive, Hongjoong.
Seonghwa seemed to think the diversion attempt was just as ridiculous, his eyes crinkling as he laughed through his nose.
"Of Wooyoung? God, no. Not at all."
That sure made Hongjoong's cheeks burn, the insult stinging more considering he hadn't seen it coming at all, but he pushed forward anyway.
Glared at Seonghwa with the steam of ramen flooding between them.
"You don't have to be such an asshole, you know."
