"where are you? It's already one am " I texted him as he was not picking up my phone. What is with him nowadays. Aaransh is already asleep. I can't wait for him anymore it's too late ,so I slept.

Next morning

He didn't come home all night. What is he doing nowadays. I called him, this time he picked up his phone. "I am with my friends, I will call you later" he said as he was not interested at all in talking to me. He just put down his phone, he didn't cut his call nor did I.  He is talking to someone, a girlish voice I heard.

"She will definitely leave me, if she knows. I can't afford to lose her, what will people say, everyone knows about our marriage" he said

Did I hear it right, what is he talking about, what did he do?

"You want to be with her, how can you do this to me, we love each other, you don't love her"

"But we have a son together, I can't leave her"

"If you can't leave her then leave me, get out now!"

"Oh my darling don't get angry, come here"

"Is it a joke for you, can't you understand, I fucking love you, I only have you , no one ever loved me like you, I understand ,don't leave  her. We can't do anything about it. I  would have never shared you with anyone but this cruel destiny. I am just scared you will leave me for her!". She sobbed while talking.

"I can never leave you, I will die if I leave you!"

my hands started Shivering and my mobile phone fell from my hand. What are they saying. He is with whom? I fell on my knees, he is my husband, he loved me na how could he cheat on me. my eyes felt heavier with tears, he promised me. How could he cheat on me. How could he?.

I opened my eyes when I felt someone's presence in the room. Rohit was standing there with a sleeping Aaransh in his arms. He must have picked him from school.

"Are you stupid? Why didn't you pick him up from school, her teacher called me at last!" He said while placing Aaransh in bed.

"Where were you last night? Or should  I say all those days?" I asked him while directly looking in his eyes.

He coughed a little and said "I was busy with some work, you know" he said while taking a seat on the couch. And removing his shoes I kept staring at him, he was lying so confidently.

I didn't have any energy to ask him any questions nor do I want to cry in front of him at least. "I want divorce!" I said and he just looked at me and then smiled " don't joke baby"

"I am not joking I can't be with a disgusting creature like who has a mistress behind his wife's back, I heard your conversation on the call last time."

He connected the dots and realised what e was talking about. "Don't call her a mistress, I love her"
I chuckled at his statement "don't degrade the word love please"

I moved closer to him clutching his collars in mine hands "How could you do this to me, you never loved me, didn't your heart aches with the thought of cheating on me? Why you had to go this, our 6 years of relationship, you broke it in a snap of your finger, our aaransh, you didn't even think about him for once. Why? " I am not strong, I couldn't stop my tears from falling down my cheeks. The man in front of me I loved him how can he do this to me I trusted him.

"It just happened, shraddha, it was not in my hand,I cou... Couldn't stop myself from falling for her it happened. She has no one other than me. I can't leave her, I am not leaving you  either, I will fulfill all my  responsibility of you and aaransh. Please understand......" Thud !

I slapped him, "are you hearing what you are saying! Do you think I will stay with you after all this, I will leave you, you don't even exist for me from now....."

Author's pov

Shraddha fainted while talking to him. She was taken to hospital by Rohit, no one at the home knew about the blunder Rohit had made. Shravani was at home with Aaransh. When he woke up he asked for his mom. She told him that shraddha has gone out for some work.  She was worried about her bhabhi (sister in law), so she called  Rohit to ask about her. He said that it was just some weakness and she is better now, she has been given some medicines. She is fine now and they are leaving for home.

"Mumma is coming" she said to her nephew making him happy.
Buzz buzz
Shraddha's phone was ringing. It was from Karan, aaransh immediately picked it up . "Namaste mama(uncle)" he greeted his mama.

"Hey champ, what are you doing ? And where is mumma (shraddha)"
Shravani's heart skipped a beat hearing his voice. The last time they met was at their engagement 5 months ago. He rarely calls her and when she calls he really picks up. She was nervous. While the duo is  still talking to each other.

"Bua knows where mumma is !" Aaransh said and moved the phone to her. She looked at the screen. He didn't say anything. "Hi" she greeted him. "Hi, where is di?" He replied.

She moved a little far from aaransh and told him that she was in hospital.
"Why, what happened? " He asked his voice laced with worry.
"Because of weakness!" She replied.
"What the hell, she didn't tell me, she is okay na!"
" Yes she will be home in some time!"
"Call me whenever she comes, please sharvani and update me please!".

As Bhai bhabhi came, I also went to the hall, bhai was helping her but she distanced herself from him. He must have irritated her, I went to bhabhi and helped her to walk.

"Take me to your room shravani!" She said and I looked at bhai, he had an irritated look. She was already weak so I took her to my room and didn't ask her anything.  As she was sitting on the bed and Aaransh was kissing his mumma. "Mumma why are you sad" he again kissed her. She smiled and gave him a tight hug "I am not sad baby, mumma is just a little tired, now you go and play with your friends." He went away hearing his mother.

Why I am feeling , something really bad happened. "Bhabhi!" I took her hand in mine and said "what happened are you okay?" She shook her head and her eyes shined with tears. "bhabhi!" She hugged me tightly and started crying badly. I didn't say anything, I let her cry. I rubbed her back, I am a sensitive person so I couldn't stop myself from crying too. Her painful cries make me sobb more.

"Bhabhi!" "Why me .......s. S shravani, why me? Did I really ...... Really de.....serve this, maybe I wa...s  not be a best wif...e but did I really deserve this!" She moved a little back and shook her head. I couldn't see her like this. "I will call bhai" as I was going to get up. She held my hand and Said  "no don't, don't call him" she was not even able to say without stuttering.

She told me everything about what bhai did. No he can't do this, why would he do this, he loved bhabhi, he no. Noo but reality is he already did. I am ashamed that he is my brother. I can't see bhabhi like this. After a while when she was okay I bought evening snacks for her. She denied but taking aaransh name I fed her. I fed Aaransh also and gave him milk. He was playing games on Bhabhi's phone in the hall.

I told bhabhi about Karan's call. She. Requested me not to tell him anything. He is in London for some  business seminar. I called him with my phone. They both talked to each other. He gave me my phone "He wants to talk to you".

"Hello"
"What is your favourite colour?"
"Huh what!"
"Your favourite colour?"
"Blue and black"
"Ok and your size?"
"What are you saying!" I asked being  shy What happened to him why is he asking that!
" I mean M , L or XL?"
"Medium"
"Shravani!" He said while I hummed "hmm"
"You guys are not hiding something na, didi sound off!"

"Umm , she is fine nothing happened!" "Ok, take care"
I didn't like lying to him, but what else should I do bhabhi requested me and I can't do anything else!.
