"𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌... 𝐔𝐏?" 𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐀 questions in confusion.

"Relax, guys. Don't worry. We'll hear you out." Norman says, approaching Krone.

"That's right. Let's work together to ensure we both get what we want. You kids want to escape, I want to become the Mother of this house... To drag Isabella out of here and take her position from her." She responds insistingly.

"Become the Mother?" Don questions.

"Just so you know, I'm deadly serious. I want to escape my current situation too." She says as she slightly unbuttons the top of her shirt, pulling at her collar to reveal some numbers.

The same type of numbers they all have on their necks.

"Do you know how the management works here?" Krone asks the group.

"I do~" Rylee says, just to annoy her.

"Well I know you do." She says, giving him a look.

She then turns back to the group.

"Girls who meet a certain criteria and live until the age of twelve have two options at the time of their shipping. Die, or aim to become a Mother." Krone explains.

"What is the criteria?" Don asks her.

"Scores above a certain number and the residents Mother's recommendation. If you have those, you can live on without having to escape... If you're a girl. I would advise against it, though. You'll end up with a body that can never leave the grounds." She answers, then pulling down on her shirt to reveal a large mark.

The group stares in shock.

"What is that?" Emma asks.

"I've had a chip implanted in me. If an adult takes a single step outside a farm, these chips discharge electricity and stop our hearts. At the same time, if our hearts stop beating due to some other cause, they act as transmitters and let the brass know." Krone responds.

"We really can't kill any adults, huh?" Norman says.

"I can only live on a farm, so I want the best possible life for myself within these walls. I want a human life as a Mother, even if it is only pretense. And Isabella stands in the way of that. If you kids escape, she'll be held responsible. I won't stop you. Run away. It'll only benefit me." She says.

"You won't ship us out?" Gilda asks.

"I won't. Let's cooperate!" She answers confidently.

Krone then holds out a hand to Norman.
