Chapter 1 - The day it all started

Kyle's pov:

First day of school. The alarm rings, waking me up. 6:00 am. I turn off the alarm and sit on my bed, rubbing my eyes gently

"ugh.." I manage to stand up after 10 minutes. I head to the kitchen, mom and dad are working so I'll have to eat breakfast alone.

I grabbed a bowl and started putting cereal on it. I then poured the milk and started eating. 6:15 am.

After I finishef eating I prepared for school. I brushed my teeth and started dressing. I put a white shirt and jeans, then I put on my Converse and head to the bus station. 6:32 am. the bus arrives at 6:45 am.

Obviously, the bus is late, and arrives at 6:50 am. I entered the bus and it was all empty, except for a boy in the back seats, probably sleeping.

The boy looked around my age, his skin was pale and his jet black hair covered his eyes as he was sleeping. the black bags under his eyes were pretty noticable. he was wearing baggy clothes and had black headphones on.

he had a backpack on his arms, so he's going to school too. I wonder if we go in the same school. If we do, I could bully him. seems like an easy prey.

heh. emo.

I stare at him for 3 more seconds, before sitting on a seat and using my phone, until I get a text from Sebastian, my closest friend.

Sebastian:
"you ready for the first day lmao"

Kyle:
"no. I'm not."

Sebastian:
"I knew it. anyways, Olivia told me there's gonna be a new student"

Kyle:
"Ok, idc"

He doesn't reply, as he goes offline. I started scrolling on TikTok, bored and without knowing what to do

At 7:36 am the bus finally stops. the boy is still sleeping. I got off the bus and started walking to go to school. at 7:45 am I finally arrived, classes start at 8:00 am, so I decided to enter early.

there were a few people, but they all stared at me, as I passed, some scared while some were nervous.

as I enter the class I see Elias, the quiet and shy student, reading a book. I decided to annoy him, as always anyways, he's one of my many victims.

Kyle: "hey freak, you still have no friends?" I laughed, and I could see he got hurt, so I kept on going.

Kyle: "Cat got your tongue? why aren't you answering back?" I laughed again. his eyes started tearing, as he grabbed his book and ran away. I swear, he's such a crybaby, that's why nobody likes him.

I sat down on a seat and the class slowly started filling up. at 8:00 am everyone arrived. But I could see an empty seat, probably for the new student

Sebastian and I were chatting when the door opened and the teacher came in. she greeted us and immediately started the lesson.

"it's the first day and she's already gonna explain the new topics of the year?"

Sebastian whispered to me, annoyed and he was probably sleepy too.
