Once more, I had woken up in the same room, only this time, it was morning, the sun fully out and vivid. I lazily sat up, stretching as I leaned against the headboard. I rested there with my eyes closed for a long while, before ultimately kicking the blankets off of my body.

I sat at the threshold of my mattress, my feet resting on the floor. I pulled up my nightgown to check on the wounds; they seemed to have fully healed overnight, after some more of my help before I slept. Best a tad bit of redness now remained. I fixed my nightgown again and stood up walking over to the desk in the corner of the room.

On the desk sat my uniform. It was what I wore when the village got attacked, except now it was in perfect shape. No sign that it had even been scratched. I silently thanked Kono before quickly changing.

After putting my uniform on I leaned over the desk judging the reflection. I inspected myself to see if there was still any damage left on my face. Turning my head in every direction, seeing every crevice, and luckily there was not. I yet again glanced around the room, before my gaze landed on the door. Last night's occurrence flashed through my mind. I had a bad feeling about the man, Kono. It may seem rude, for the reason that he was the man who saved me, but something about him failed to sit well with me. I could already tell that he held too many mysteries.

I ran my hand through my hair while sighing. I decided to stroll over to the door and open it. I stepped out into the hall again. This time I was not as cautious. I chose to go left similar to the night prior, planning on returning to the dining room he had taken me to. That being the only room I actually know of.

As I walked past the room I heard noises from previously, I took notice that there was no longer any noise coming from inside. My mind urged me to open it, but my body didn't seem to quite listen. I stood there silently, my mind and body fighting against each other. My curious mind told me to open it and see what was inside, but my body was forcing me to respect his privacy.

I reached my hand out, gripping the knob tightly, to the point that my knuckles turned white. Hesitantly, I turned the knob and pushed the door open. Inside was dark, the only source of light was coming from the hallway I stood in. Even with the door open, I could hear no sounds.

I stepped one foot in, the floor creaking, before I was suddenly yanked out and the door was slammed shut, echoing around the hall. I yelped, my back against the person who had grabbed me. I was about to attack them before they spoke, "What were you doing?" He interrogated frantically.

I forced myself out of his grip and turned to face him, "I- sorry. I was looking for the dining room..." I lied quickly, clenching my jaw as I looked at him. He gave off an uncanny feeling, one much more prominent than before. His expression was spine-chilling. It was blank, but something wasn't right. Something was... off.

He took a deep breath before smiling again, returning to his 'normal' expression. "I see. Well, I'll bring you to it then, it's further down the hall." He announced, holding an arm out, showing me where to go.

I scanned his face before hesitantly turning away and walking down the hall. I could hear his footsteps uncomfortably close behind me. I felt watched, but not in the regular way. I felt like I was being studied like a strange phenomenon.

"It's the next door to your left." He declared. I silently nodded, choosing to not speak nor look at him. Of course remembered where it was, I made sure to start a mental map of the building the second I stepped into the halls the night before. But, I had to pretend that I didn't, to not raise any further suspicion. I eventually stopped in front of the door, stepping back to let him in first.

He eyed me briefly before opening the door and stepping into the room, I followed after. Just like the night before, food was already set on the table. This time it was a simple salad. He made his way around the table, to his previous seat, as I did the same.
