A beautiful day!
...
Not really. It's cold, damp, and even humid. Disgusting weather. It makes Stan retch when he feels the heavy air outside get stuck in his throat and make it hard to breathe. He doesn't even like outside. It's always muddy and dusty, all the houses and buildings are too bright, or the paint on them is chipping making him uncomfortable for some unknown reason.
Ring Ring
"Mng.." Stan whined before rolling over and grabbing his phone from under the pillow, pressing snooze then placing back underneath his pillow, too tired to get up, but wanted to get his day done, his thoughts constantly contradicting each other, making him confused and even more exhausted. Stan feels like he's falling behind in life, as he's written in his diary. Which he thought was too gay so he threw it away. Even though it had thoughts in there that he cried about.
Randy, his father, always told him that men couldn't cry, they couldn't talk about their feelings, while Sharon always told him to do the opposite. Randy mostly said all that shit because he still remembers that one time when Stan was at the ripe age of 11 when he said that a hockey player had a pretty smile and he liked his dimples.
...
It was a Hockey game for Princeton University, there was one hockey player that was mostly making all the goals for Princeton, every time he got a goal he winked up at the audience with a smile, Stan imagined that smile was for him. After the game, he got to see the hockey player, number 19 up in person. Randy ruffled Stan's hair while he spoke to them. Stan forgot his name. Well, while he spoke to 19, Stan sat there looking up at him, he had a pretty smile.
"Dad?"
(Rant you don't need to read) "..In hockey there are 6 players on each side, one is the goalie, which can also be pulled for another player, but they are really important, they usually have 4 lines, which have 20 players. They're probably on the ice for 1 minute before being replaced, called a line change- oh, what is it Stan?" Randy ranted on before the abrupt stop
"(Name) had a pretty smile, I liked his dimples." Stan smiled as he announced his silly little crush (? I didn't know what to call it)
"Stanley-" Then Randy goes into a long lecture about how men, or boys' in Stan's case aren't supposed to think other boys' smiles are pretty, like how Stan just did.
...
Stan licked his chapped lips to try and moisten them a bit, tapping his foot as he tried to think of an answer for a stupid test page, about how plastic is made, seemingly important for everyday life the curriculum thought. Stan was already famished, lunch was at 12:00, and right now it was only 10:30. No matter how many times Stan licked his lips they were still parched and the only thing he knew on his test paper was his name and date, he scanned the classroom, hoping to cheat before catching eyes on Wendy Testaburger's paper. His girlfriend and tutor.
She regularly despised his cheating, as she was a tutor herself. But Stan usually ended up hating her partly whenever she tried to teach him, he felt disgusted with himself for thinking that. Everyone around him thought she was wonderful, despite some may think she was annoying. But that's all, Stan felt like he was the only one who sometimes hated her. Wait, no, not hate. Dislike.
Stan peaked over and looked at the paper, jotting down the same words but used in a less smart way, he used synonyms and made it seem like he put in less effort so it looked like he wrote it. "This is ass," Stan murmured to himself as he set his pencil down after drawing a stickman battle on the corner of the paper,
"You shall die!" The crowd chanted as the hero swung his sword at the monster, it was a triangle head, different compared to the usual circles. He has no ill intentions as Trangy only wants to deliver the scroll, but when he reaches for his pocket, guards mistake him for reaching for a weapon. Singled out just for being different. Differences were looked down upon in the kingdom, meaning Square-heads and Triangle-heads were frowned upon. Tiangy didn't fight in the battle, he didn't know how to, and he died because of his injuries later on.
Stan immediately scribbled it out once Ms. Wrinkle-Arse walked by his desk, but she noticed and chastised him. Which only made Stan groan.
...
Stan sat at the bench, looking at the sunset from Stark's pond, he didn't wanna go home yet, Shelley was probably gonna beat him up and he hated that. His dad was probably drunk and he hated that. His mom was probably yelling at his dad and he hated that. He hated it all there. Stan took out the notebook from his bag and started to draw, he didn't have any drinks because he forgot to pack some this morning.
Rustle
Stan immediately looked towards the bushes, and turned to look at the bushes, watching as they slightly sway, "Probably an animal" Stan thought as he turned back to the book. Stan felt a small breeze from his left, but it wasn't like wind. He quickly turned and a little red bat was flapping it's wings flying around him. Stan had a fair amount of knowledge about bats, their his favorite animal after all. It was a vampire bat, the friendliest of bats surprisingly despite their name.
But Stan immediately flinched away, rabies was still a thing obviously. "What the fuck?" Stan has never seen a bat close up like this before, and vampire bats aren't even in this part of America!? Fucking crazy ass shit.
Stan, sat there as the bat just rested on the bench, he didn't know what to do with it, but he thought the vampire bat was the cutest type. Stan cautiously moved closer, wow, a new pet he could get!
Stan gained a smile today!
(Sorry, I can't go to work today I have a bat on my lap.
