Chapter III

The class was dismissed and Luna's mind is still occupied by her thoughts.
She seems to not know what to do anymore.
She knows avoiding him is the right thing to do.
But her heart doesn't want to cooperate. It wants to talk to him. It wants to see him. It wants to get close to him.

But no. It can't.
She must stop her heart from wanting to be with him.
She must stop wanting him.
She must.

"Let's go to my place?" Nichole jumped to her when she picked up her bag.

"Why?" She asked but her mind is not present.

"Why?" Nichole echoed. "We always do this, babe. 'Why' isn't a question," she smirked.

"Ow, sorry.." She tried to be present and removed her thoughts for awhile.
"What are we going to do this time?"
She smiled at her.

"Since we have no class tomorrow, let's have a movie night!" She was very excited.

"Okay! I'm in!" Reign shouted, very excited.
When her friends looked at her she know she needs to agree before they notice that she's in  deep thoughts and not being herself at the moment.

Besides, she thinks it is a good escape to stop thinking about senseless thoughts.
Being with her friends more will vanish all the nonsense in her life.
She need distraction, in short term.

It would be easier that way.
At least she thought.

While having food conversations with her friends, she suddenly stopped when she saw Nathan at the edge of the stairway. She can't move. And when he looked at her, she felt like she turned into a stone. Her friends continued walking until 2 step and notice she wasn't following. It took a minute before Nichole dragged her down the stairs passing Nathan. She saw Nathan followed her with his eyes, but didnt move stop them.

Nichole let her go when they were finally out of the school and faced her. She put her hands into Luna's shoulder and took a deep breath and said
"Was he waiting for you?"

She shrugged, "i don't know."
And bit her lips.

She hoped.
She hoped that he waited for her.
She hoped he followed her.
But she knows he did not wait for her.
And he will not follow her.
It was too impossible to think he waited for her after a week of ignoring him.

"Oh god. I know he was waiting for you." Nichole sounded stressed and rolled her eyes. He let go of her shoulders and put it in her waist.
"He has a girlfriend. That idiot. It is just right that you ignore him, you dont want to cause any problem right? So, keep it that way."

She is right. It is right.
It is the only right thing to do.

Her heart ached even more.

She just nodded and Nichole seemed to be satisfied by it and then they continued walking.
While Nichole was walking infront of them.
Reign held her hand and squeezed it.
And she looked at her and smiled.
She felt confort in Reign's side, it was as if she understands her. It was as if she knows what is on her mind.
She didnt say anything, but she made sure she is safe.
And just for a moment she forgot how cruel the world is.

Though, it made her feel guilty about not wanting to be in Nichole's side, because she made her realize that it is a cruel word indeed to feel what she was feeling when it is unnecesarry for her to feel that way. Nichole just made her realize how to hurt and think it is just right. In this short time, she realized all that.

But they were her friends. And it will always be that way no matter what side shi is on.
