Some people say its bad luck; some say it's just how things we're supposed to be. But those weren't enough for me, those explanations and help that they are giving me, trying to think that I would buy it, no, they thought wrong. I needed more. More than what they were telling me.

Today wasn't any different from any other day -- another day of suffering and constantly feeling this pang of hurt and I'm not even sure why am I feeling this. I looked down on the book I had been reading, scanning through it and trying desperately to just for once remember. I was supposed to finish this book ages ago but guess what, I can't.
"Where was I?!" I whispered through gritted as I trailed my fingers down the sentences, my head throbbing because of the annoyance.
I let out a sigh and just closed the book and put it on the table beside my bed and taking off my reading glasses and putting it on top of it. Resting my head against the wall, I closed my eyes, thinking that it would help me at least ease the headache I was having.
Soon enough I opened my eyes and the moment I did, I saw a red post-it on my mirror. I abruptly stood up and checked to see what was written on it.

"Hello I'm Louis :) meet me at the park at 4 pm okay? I'll be waiting.x"

How did this get into my room? Panic started to fill me and I rushed to check if my windows were locked and if the front door was open, but no... it wasn't. I decided not to worry but instead just go back bed and rest.
"[y/n]...wake up. [y/n] please..." I felt a light tap on my forearm.
"[y/n]...[y/n]...." But that voice... I haven't heard of that before... I sprang up, horrified and pulled up the covers up to my chin.
"Who are you?! How did you get here?!" I shouted. "Please don't----"
"Shhh..." he cooed, "If you think I'm going to hurt you, love, that would be the last thing I would ever do."
"Then who are you?" I pressed on "Why are you here? How?"
He shakes his head and flash me a small smile," I'm Louis."
"Then why are you here? Do I know you?" I said, a little bit calmer now. Louis stands up and walked towards the mirror, taking the red post-it. The long grey sweater that he was wearing was pulled down when he took the post-it exposing which looked like a tattoo. He turned to look at me, "You're late. We were supposed to meet me an hour ago."
"What?" I asked, "I'm sorry. It's just that I have this condition...what was that again...." I closed my eyes and tried to recall what was the name of this annoying condition that I have.
He walks back to sit next to me," Anterograde amnesia. You forget everything after 24 hours... or yet after a second or a minute... Yes I know that." He finishes what I was supposed to say.
I didn't answer. I looked at him and tried to memorize his face, if this guy knows me, might as well try to know him.
"Come on, let's go to the park." He grabs my wrists and tugs me out of my room and down the stairs.
"Would you at least let me get dressed?" I asked.
He checks me and shook his head, "No time for that." And as soon as that we were driving off to wherever he takes me.
It is wrong to go with someone I met five minutes ago and let him drag me out from my flat. But something in my heart told me to let him and just trust him. The car ride was pretty decent but I was bothered because why am I feeling like this? Why do I feel really safe around him? What more does he know about me?
"Are you okay?" he suddenly breaks the silence and I jumped a bit when he did.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm alright." I answered keeping my gaze straight.
"I know you want to ask some questions..." I can sense the he is smiling but I didn't budge to look at him.
"You like to fight with me on who gets the aux cord when we go on trips." he says. "and you like to listen to music by Frank Sinatra. But it depends on your mood."
And he went on...
"You like staying past midnight...."
And on...
"You love old classic stuff...."
And on...
"You love to stay in bed all day..."
And on...
"And I..." He suddenly stops and that caught my attention. For the first time, I looked at him, expecting for him to continue but instead he shakes his head and stops the car.
"What?" I asked, arching up a brow at him.
He smiles at me and unfastens his seatbelt, "We're here." I looked from my side of the window and saw the bright lights and the line of people waiting to get inside. Louis opens the door for me and I stepped outside to look up at the giant Ferris Wheel. A bubble of excitement builds up in my stomach as the thought of riding it.
"Amusement park?" I asked.
"You need to have some fun..." he says with a grin and closes the door.
"Let's go." He tugs my hand and went past the guards who he just gave a nod.
"Louis aren't we-" I started but he just cut me off, "Got it all done, love. Now let's have some fun."
I smiled and agreed we both start running and checking out every booth, trying out all the games and he did manage to win me a small stuff toy of a cat.
"Let's check that out!" he shouts and points to the grim looking tunnel with a sign "Horror House". My heart beat picked up and I shook my head, "I don't think that would be a great idea."
He smiled at me but soon turned into a frown, "Why?"
"I... I'm scared." I mumbled looking down. Great, now I ruined all the fun.
"Aw love, don't think that you are being a bum, it's alright..." he says tilting my chin up with an index finger. "You're coming in with me. Everything there is all plastic and rubbish."
His eyes bore into mine and sincerity was all I could see into it. I slowly nod my head.
His smiled returned and clasps our hands together as we both inched closer to the dark entrance.
All the time I had my eyes closed and pressed my face into Louis' chest and my teeth hasrshly bitting my lower lip to prevent from any sound coming out.
"Louis..." I whimpered.
"Almost there..." he kept his arm around my shoulder. I heard different sounds; a blood curling scream, growling and howling and the bunch of other people screaming. I started to shake and soon enough the air changed and finally I opened my eyes and he bright light from outside made me close my eyes again.
"See? You're alive!" Louis joked and pats my head.
I rolled my eyes at him. But I guess he was right, it wasn't that bad.
The sky started to change color and the lights even got brighter. Louis was still in line to get us some popcorn. I looked around and couldn't help but think about this, after today. A wave of sadness filled my heart as I remember that I won't be able to remember all of this when I wake up tomorrow, that all this fun and laugh that I share with Louis will be just a forgotten memory.
"Love," he snaps me out of my thought and gives me my tumbler of popcorn I gave him a small smile and reached for it, "Thanks."
"What's wrong?" he asks, taking a piece of the popcorn and eating it. "You can tell me."
We both sat at the empty bench and while we continue the chat with me.
"It's just that... You, and all of this," I waved my hands in front of me, pointing out at everything that was before me, "Will be irrelevant when I wake up tomorrow. I'll be all just a dream that I couldn't even remember."
"Nope, it won't be." He says with much confidence that made me give him a questioning look.
"What made you so sure of that?" I ask.
He sets the popcorn down in between us and opens his bag. He takes out an instax camera, "Ta da!"
"We're going to take some pictures and when I get you home, we're going to post this in your bedroom. And write a note of who I am and what we did. Now," he turns on the camera and holds it up, facing us, "Smile!"
The flash goes off and I'm glad that I'm not yet blind. The film came out and I grabbed it and fanned it back and forth until the photo was clear.
"Thank you Louis." I said.
He nods his head, "Anything to make you happy." He looks up at the sky and sighs, "I hate to stop the fun but we must go." He stands up and I followed behind him quietly. When we both we're on the move, it felt nice just being there with him. I looked over to him,"So... who wins when we fight about the aux cord?"
"Huh?" he gives me glance and looked back to the road.
"Do I win when we fight about the aux cord? Who wins?" I repeat.
"Oh, I usually let you win, but sometimes I do." He smiles. His eyes crinkled when he smiled too much. I just noticed how gorgeous his smile was. Not soon enough until we were in front of my flat. I smiled and quickly hop off the car and straight to my room.
I scanned my drawers to find a pen. I heard footsteps echo around the flat. Picking up the pen that I spotted, I jumped in surprise when I turned around Louis was behind me, holding the same red post-it from earlier.
"Here," he said, taking my other hand and puts it on my palm "Write down everything you experienced today and how you felt."
I walked past him and head to my desk, I grabbed a piece and start to write down everything.
