A cold barrel was jabbed against the head of the captive man bound by chains. "Unfortunately, I don't care what information you give to me. You will die here. So save your breath. Guns are so weak in this world people barely use them. Magic is so superior. But I want your death to be messy. Something that your clan won't ever forget." The woman stared at her captive with glowing purple eyes. She licked sharp fangs as she smiled with bloodlust. The man looked up into her gaze. His eyes nearly bulged out of his skull. "Wait your the Queen.- '' A gunshot rang out and his blood painted the cells walls. The woman turned and vanished into the darkness only leaving the hue of her purple glowing eyes trailing behind her.
Shawn looked around the room he was in at all the unfamiliar faces. Everyone wore crowns and fine clothing besides him. He wore Golden Armor, but no crown on top of his long tied back locs. He recognized the woman sitting on the throne near the back of the room. "Danielle!" He shouted interrupting the man next to him also wearing gold and white. "Golden Commander, you interrupted your King to address me?" She said tapping on her throne. The taps were inconsistent. And she made eye contact with Shawn as she did this. Her eyes were like pools of gray but she was very beautiful and full of youth. "I apologize, i don't know what came over me." Shawn was confused, where was he and why were they so Midevil he wondered. Kings and Queens, the last thing he remembered was reading a book at his desk that seemingly had all blank pages except for one. His head began to hurt. "Are you alright Commander?" The man that was apparently his King asked. Shawn looked over the man and recognized him too. "Neph?" Shawn said. He rubbed his head and then noticed Danielle stand up. "Everyone clear the room. Besides the King of Parrall and his Commander. Enjoy the festivities of Velahal and tomorrow morning the tournament shall begin! May the best King win!" She said, The others all left and the three could speak freely. Neph removed his crown and stood up next to Danielle. Both crossed their arms and looked down at Shawn sitting there puzzled. "It's about damn time you woke up" Danielle said. "Before you ask, no we don't know where we are either and all we remember was reading pages of that book you sent us. We do know we died in the other world we came from and we woke up here but not reborn. We already had bodies here living lives as drones until our mind occupied them. You just awoke to this world. And like us you have a powerful role to play." Neph explained. "So we got Isekai'd?'' Shawn said, looking in a mirror across the room. "Yup, and we have no clue how many other of us there are though we have a theory. "Look at your wrists. You should see a number no one else can see. Most people, even powerful mages in this world, can only get up to 80. The Demon folk have been said to have a few to reach 100. The Demihumans that reside here in my country of Velahal have some that's reached 100 also. The beings worshiped and called Gods in this world are all over level 1000. I am Level 200" Danielle said. Shawn took it all in and looked at his wrist. His level almost shocked him. '450'. He looked at his friends and smiled. "Well I'm happy you guys are here with me and have figured out so much." He said. "Your level is high as hell isn't it?" Danielle deducted. Shawn laughed. "My level is 450," he said. Neph looked at Danielle as she looked back at him. "My level is 250," Neph revealed. "Anyway, tomorrow we are holding a fighting tournament between all the nations in the world; only the Kings are participating except you, Shawn. You will fill in the last open spot because people of each nation respect you like you're a King anyway." Neph explained away the finer details of how Shawn could access an inventory that was extremely limited in space in this world. Shawn figured out a lot about his own character through what he had on him. The three talked a bit more then left the conference room to head towards the town.
The next morning Shawn woke up to the loud sounds of cheering. The inn he stayed in was one for the higher class, however due to the tournament the majority of the citizens of each country flooded the streets and was far from quiet. Shawn gathered his things and headed to the Arena. The Kings all stood center the arena while the thousands of onlookers watched and cheered for them. In total there were 11 Kings and the Golden Commander Shawn. The Queen of Velahal stepped ahead of the rest and raised a hand to silence the crowd. "I know everyone here is excited for what is to come. First let me reintroduce the King's present. King Delaborah: Demon King of Diemstros the country of Demonfolk, Sigg of Whitestar, Briggs Swoon of Norst, Tsugami Ishi of Whitestar, Nephtali Serrano of Parrall, Slade Black of Norst, Weishin of Aporia, Vanir Asgul of Whitestar, Korbin Gellal of Aporia, Seraphl Raven of Norst, Myself, and Lastly The Golden Commander KyShawn Johnson of Parrall. Let the tournament begin with the first match. Delaborah Vs Sigg!" Danielle finished her opening speech and was met with the roar of the crowd. Her smile shined as bright as her diamond studded crown.
Everyone left the arena except the two set to fight. As soon as the fight began Delaborah stood still and waited for Sigg to attack him. As soon as Sigg made his first move Delaborah effortlessly dodged and struck Sigg with one hand to the back of the head causing the King to fall on his face and go unconscious. Delaborah won before most people could even blink. The crowd cheered for the large red demon that stood before them. Delaborah towered over regular humans and he had large horns coming from his head. A long tail swayed back and forth as he smiled, lifting a fist in the air. Danielle leaned back in her throne overlooking the fight. Shawn could tell she was just as disappointed as he was hoping to see what these people of this world were truly capable of. She stood and announced the next fight. One by one the Kings battled and some were interesting. The first round would conclude after Shawn fought Slade Black a king of the country of Norst. Shawn entered the arena nervous but happy to finally be able to see what his new body could do. The crowd cheered loudly chanting his name. 12 men and women stood noticeably in a line all dressed in gold. "The Golden Knights are here to cheer you on, Commander!" One of them shouted. Shawn noticed the one cheering loudest resembled his younger brother. This made him wonder just how many people he knew from his previous world existed in this one. Slade smirked at him before yelling something that almost shook Shawn. "I have long waited for this opportunity, golden dog. To meet the man who single handedly sealed away the Immortal King, his own teacher. The man who stood alone before an army of undead in the Tombs of the Sentinels." Slade taunted. Shawn's eyes grew wide as all his memories from this life suddenly flashed before him. His brain was overloaded with every detail of his life from both worlds. The match began but Shawn couldn't move. Danielle and Neph both looked at each other knowing what Shawn was going through exactly. Slade charged Shawn with a short sword he had drawn. Shawn's energy surged and the aura knocked Slade off his feet and sent the King flying away from the Commanders golden aura. Danielle smirked while whispering an incantation. Neph laughed loudly. An energy shield appeared around the arena to protect the people watching. As Shawn's energy went back to normal, Slade stood up dusting off his cloak. "You and the late King of this country were heroes to the world after the war with the ogres. You both wiped them all out. It is an honor to battle you but I can not respect a man who would use power the way you do." Slade said charging again. "You know nothing of my power, Let me show you." Shawn said silently. The Commander clapped his hands together and a large magic circle appeared on the ground below the two. "Elemental Magic: Hellfire" The circle glowed red and flames burst from the ground. Slade took a leap into the air to avoid the sudden flames. The crowd was going crazy as this level of magic was rare to witness for common folk. Slade Black was well known for his mastery of wind magic and he used this power to take the fight into the air. Shawn looked at his hands, they were indeed rough which was fitting for the warrior he seemed to be here. He wore a ring on his right hand. The inscription read the word 'love' engraved on the ring itself. Slade sent magical wind bullets raining down onto Shawn to snap the commander out of his trance and force him to pay attention to the fight. "You disrespect me by daydreaming? Fine. Wind Magic: Raging Blades" Swords made from air surrounding Shawn. Again the Commander tanked the attack and didn't even have to move. Shawn looked up at the flying King and then exhaled. "This fight is over. I apologize for taking so long. But if memory serves me correctly .... Shawn pointed at Danielle in the stands. You are the strongest one here." He said smiling. Slade realized he was being ignored and all Shawn could think about was fighting the Demihuman Queen. Enraged, Slade put everything he had into one final attack. Shawn looked at him while he charged with sword in hand. Shawn outstretched his right hand towards the charging King and whispered a spell. "Explosion times 10". Again a large magic circle appeared below this time an instant explosion filled the entire arena causing the stands and the grounds below to shake violently. The shield that was erected by Danielle was now visible because it was taking constant damage from the large scale explosion Shawn had caused. "I owe you a cup of wine" Neph said to Danielle who was basking in her own glory. She knew Shawn would have no idea how to control his power even after fully awakening by gaining his memories.
When the smoke cleared Slade was seen laying on his back with no response. Medical mages attended to him immediately, taking him from the arena while other mages repaired the stage for the next round. While everyone worked to insure the tournament kept going Shawn rejoined Neph and Danielle near her throne. "You remember everything, don't you?" She said looking serious. Shawn nodded. "Then you know why I won't lose to you." She continued. The matches resumed until finally it was four remaining. Neph Vs Danielle, and Shawn vs Delaborah.
Danielle defeated the King of Parrall and Shawn defeated the Demon King. Both fights were hard and well fought. Now all that remained were The Demihuman Queen of Black Flame, and Her best friend and rival The Golden Commander of Parrall. She stood opposite him and before the signal for the fight to begin her eyes began to glow a bright purple.
