"It's a done deal, Jake Sully." Those words rang in Jake's head as he waited for his daughter to arrive in the pod. "Sempul, Sa'nok, you called for me?" Neteyam walked in the pod with a curious look on her face. Jake's back straightened and he began to wear a mighty look.

"Neteyam. Sit." He said, she sat down obeying her father's command. "My daughter, you are growing and you must find a mate but you haven't shown any interest in anyone here, therefore you will travel to the Metkayina Village and mate with the Olo'eyktan's oldest." Neteyam stood confused. "Like arranged mating?" She asked oh so curiously to which her father nodded.

"Very well, when must I go?" She asked wanting to be prepared. Jake's head turned in confusion, he'd expected a cry of protest or something but nothing. "Tomorrow, you'll travel with your mother to prevent getting lost." He said clearing his throat. Neteyam nodded in understanding before swinging away.

*------*

Neteyam grabbed her belongings packing it on her Ikran, she felt a small body wrap around her making her jump a bit, she turned to see a small Tuk who looked like she'd been crying. "Please don't leave me! I don't want you to go!" She pleaded while sobbing, Neteyam frowned no wanting to see her little sister in such state, she bent down to her sister height before hugging her back. "I must go Tuktuk, but you can visit me whenever you know that right? It is what the Great Mother wants." Tuk nodded being slightly comforted by the fact she could visit.

"In the meantime learn and become the great Warrior I know you can become, I believe you can. Now go with Kiri, okay?" Tuk smiled softly before standing by Kiri.

Neteyam mounted her ikran's back before letting out a call for her Ikran, the Ikran flapped it's wings flying in the air. Neteyam looked back waving and watching slowly as she left the place she called home her whole life.

*------*

The whole ride there was quiet really, not much was said, which was funny because Neytiri and Neteyam talked with each other a lot during the days. But again nothing was said which made things quite awkward.

*------*

Days passed and they finally arrived to the island. Neteyam watched how the people sat in the water moving like fluid, close to how the Omatikaya moved like wind. Her ears twitched as she heard children playing and laughter from the village. Though as they got closer to the village grounds they heard a conch blowing as people surrounded them. The people had spears like back home but instead more decorated with Metkayina traditional decor.

The looked at the two women as if the were freaks, murmuring and whispering mean things they could only assume. Neytiri blood boiled as she watched her daughter in distress, Neteyam wrapped her shawl close to her and her tail wrapped around her thigh.

She watched as a man and a woman came walking with a boy possibly her age up to them. They stood in front of them tall as one spoke. "Do forgive me, we did not expect you so early." The man said. "It is fine Olo'eyktan." Neytiri calmly said. "How was the trip? I do hope the weather treated you right." The woman asked. "It was fine." Neytiri said. The woman felt the tense feeling from the girl in front of her. "Go back to your duties." She said to which the snapped away.

"This is your daughter?" Tonowari asked which Neytiri nodded before leaves too her daughter, Neteyam looked down and brang her hand to her forehead signing the regular things as she spoke lowly. "Oel Nagti Kameie." The man returned the gesture as the woman looked down in approval, she looked to her son who rolled his eyes, she hit his head hard as she snarled at his childish behavior.

She clicked her tongue gesturing over the girl. The boy sighed in defeat before bringing his hand to his forehead signing. 'Oel Ngati Kameie.' Neteyam nodded in approval before signing 'Oel Ngati Kameie.' Her ears twitched as she heard small water splashes, she looked from the side of her eyes as she saw a girl coming from the water towards them, she was very pretty. "Mother." She said lowly before standing next to the boy. "This is our daughter Tsireya." The woman said.

"Could you two help her with her belongings to her pod." Tonowari said to which Tsireya smiled before going to the creature grabbing some bags, meanwhile Ao'nung rolled his eyes sighing before taking some bags for himself. Neteyam took a fruit from her bag feeding the creature as it cooed before she took the rest of the bags and following behind them "Bye Sa'nok." She said.

She followed behind mumbling to herself, the sun bothering her eyes. They walked somewhere around the trees, as they walked the Omatikaya girl grew from bothered to relieved. The air was awkward, the Metkayina woman tried to make things less awkward by starting a conversation. "So, what is it like in the forest?" She asked actually curious. Neteyam smiled softly before speaking up. "It is very nice to be in the trees I do miss it-" Ao'nung scoffed before speaking up. "Not one Na'vi here cares about your forest." He said harshly before Tsireya hit his head softly. "I was not talking to you, she simply asked a question therefore I answered to her not to you, skxawng." Neteyam said before pushing through the Metkayina man by Tsireya.

"I do apologize for my brothers behavior." Tsireya said with a soft tone. "Do not apologize for his childish behavior." It seemed that the two women would get along swell though not very much the Omatikaya girl and the chiefs son. They arrived to a pod and set down the luggage, Neteyam removed her shawl hood no longer bothered by the sun since the pod was blocked by trees. "I will come by tomorrow so we can start lessons." Tsireya said before walking off making Ao'nung snicker and follow behind.

Neteyam sat down before grabbing a mat from the side, her ears twitched as walking was heard and a shadow came into the doorframe. Neteyam looked up smiling met by her mother who also smiled, Neytiri walked over to sit by her daughter. "I do apologize for sending you away, I know you wished not to leave." Neteyam looked over to her mother with a frown it was true but she knew it had to be done. "Do not apologize, it is what the Great Mother wants and there is not a thing we can do." Neteyam laid her head on her mother's shoulder. "I will miss you ite but I must go before your father goes insane." Neytiri frowned before leaving a kiss on her daughters forehead standing up and walking out to her Ikran.

And so Neteyam would live there learning the way of the water. The next day would be tiring but oh well.

Hey there I was going to put this into my aonunete scenario book but I loved it to the point I'd make it into a whole book itself. Hope you like it. Also I have mentioned what I believe female Neteyam would look like but here it is anyway, not my art of course.
