Meredith didn't want to get out of bed after her dream of Elvis. Why couldn't Mark be as romantic as Elvis was in her dream? She couldn't remember the last time they were even intimate.
Meredith decided to surprise Mark at work with a special lunch for the two of them, hoping it might bring back the spark in their marriage. But Meredith would find out why when she arrived at Mark's workplace...
When Meredith walked into Mark's office, he wasn't alone – he had his assistant pinned to his desk as the two lovers got hot and heavy.
Without even saying a word, Meredith closed the door to Mark's office quietly so they wouldn't know she was there and left to go back home.
But Meredith didn't go home. Instead, she found herself on the cliff ready to take her life – and as she got ready to take the plunge – a hand grabbed her, preventing her from taking the leap.
She turned around to find Elvis as he held her in his arms.
"Don't do it?" Elvis said to her, holding her in his arms.
"Why didn't you let me die?" Meredith rebuked him.
"It wasn't your time?" Elvis told her.
"I have no life now that my marriage is over. I might as well die!"
"Don't say that. There's still life in you."
"I just want to go home," Meredith said as she ran to her car.
By the time she had pulled into the street, she didn't see the oncoming car as it crashed into the driver's door.
