Sonic Boom: The Wolf and The Hedgehog

It was an afternoon on a Friday I was walking with my friends Emma the Fox and Nova the Jackal. We were talking about the upcoming dance next Wednesday from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. As the girls were talking about what to wear to the dance, I turned around and spotted Shadow the Hedgehog walking my way. I quickly blushed and looked away, Nova looked at me and smirked,

"You like him, don't you?" Nova asked,

"What- no," I answered.

I tried to walk away but I ran into Shadow again. We glanced at each other before we pulled away,

"Hello Jaden," greeted Shadow.

"H- Hi Shadow," I responded.

"I was thinking, would you like to go to the dance with me?" he asked.

"I would love to," I answered.

My tail was wagging so much that it could wipe itself out of existence. When I turned around, I noticed that Nova and Emma were smirking at me,

"What?" I asked,

"you're going on a date with Shadow," asked Emma

"No I'm not!" I answered inefficiently.
Both looked at me with confusion

"Okay, it's a date but Shadow and I can't be seen together, or Sonic will get mad," I told them.

"So, why not make him wear a mask," Nova suggested.

"That could work," I replied.

I went to the cave where Shadow and I always meet. I wanted to tell him about Nova's idea

"Why should I wear a mask?" Asked Shadow

"To Hide your face, so Sonic wouldn't recognize you,” I answered,

"He's going to be there!" Shadow shouted

"Yeah, He's going to be there to keep an eye on things and keep the ‘villains’ out of the dance," I answered again.

Shadow looked disappointed after releasing that Sonic will be there.

"I should get going," I said

"Okay, see you at the dance," Shadow replied with a wave of goodbye.

A week later, the day before the dance, Emma, Nova, and I were looking for dresses for the dance. That was when I noticed an old, torn up, white dress in the garbage, it looked like it had a few sequins here and there and it had a huge rip in the middle of it.

"Why are you looking in the garbage?" Nova asked

"I think I'm going to fix this dress and wear it to the dance tomorrow," I answered.

Back at my Den, I fixed the dress until I heard a knock at my door.

"Can I come in?" A voice asked on the other side of the door

"You may," I answered.

Sonic walked into my Den's living room, then asked me if I was going with someone, I was silent for a moment.
