Flashback
Zion: Echo, your magic allows you to manipulate your voice, correct?
Echo: Yes. I mimic any sound I've heard before. Is there something you need me for?
Zion: I found out that a Knight leads those peasants that make up the enemy army and are in fact using the Church's pills. I want you to mimic his voice and bark any order to cause confusion.
Echo: Are you sure that's a good idea?
Zion: I believe you can do it Echo. When you helped me with a marching song, you managed to mimic 3 different instruments while singing.
Zion gives Echo a head pat, causing the latter to blush.
Zion: This won't be a challenge for you, so go out there and be the best copycat you can be. I assigned Nightingale to keep you invisible, so there's nothing to fear
Flashback end
Echo: Swallow your pills now!
Hearing this, the peasant soldiers all take their pills. This caused them to go out of control and nearly attack Levin and Lehman.
Lehman: Levin, what did you do?!
Before Lehman can react, he feels a presence behind him. It's the same presence he felt before when he heard the mysterious voice. The fog dissipates to reveal Nightingale, who has her revolver's barrel pointed at Lehman's head.
Nightingale: It's high noon...
*BANG*
Faster than the paralyzed Lehman could react, Nightingale shot him in the head and jumped off the horse. Levin looks at Lehman's corpse in shock, only hearing the bang but not seeing the bright flash of light. The pill-enhanced soldiers don't pay any mind, only hearing Levin's voice giving them orders.
Echo: Charge! Head towards the center and break enemy lines! Anything you loot is yours to keep!
Levin: Wait, I didn't say that! Wh...what the hell's going on?!
Echo: Kill them! Everything will be ours!
Levin: 'It has to be a Witch! That bastard Roland has been tempted by the Fangs of the Devil!' Halt everyone, halt!
But none of them listened. They continued their reckless charge into Border Town's enemy lines. Levin kills one of the berserk men attempting to kill him as he grits his teeth.
Levin: The Witch who killed Lehman can't be the same one doing this. When I catch them, I'll wring their throats with my bare hands! Damnit, we have to use that stupid bitch...
Scene change
The pill-enhanced soldiers charge into Border Town's bunkers, only to be met with cannon fire, rifle volleys, and Zion's brute force. One handless berserker constantly chants kill, only for Zion to grab him by the face and smash his head against the ground.
Zion: Keep firing at these bastards! They may act like demonic beasts, but they're still humans!
Zion watches the bullets fly and kill the berserkers.
Zion: Brian's gotten better with his aim and speed. He was able to kill that crazed Knight with a single well-placed shot.
Suddenly, however, the soldiers throw their short spears. Zion managed to deflect them with his cleaver and turtle shell while the First Army was protected by the bunkers. One spear managed to pierce his shell, but only left a superficial pierce wound on his skin. He takes the spear out and looks at it, becoming confused at the light blue aura coming from it.
