"Excuse me...please wake up....come on, wake up."
I groaned. I opened my eyes. My vision was a bit blurry, so I laid still for a moment. It eventually cleared a bit. I groaned a bit, as my body still felt sore and exhausted.
I sat up, and began shaking my head to get the dizziness away. That's when I hear the same voice exclaim in a some sort of happy and relieved tone.
"You're finally awake, great!"
I opened my eyes again. I saw some cat-like creature. She had light pink and cream colored fur, a small black nose, and her eyes were shut, though something told me she could still see. Her tail was cream colored, and the top was light pink, with little pollens sticking out.
I blinked a bit in surprise and shock and took a look at my surroundings for the first time. From my point of view, I was in some sort of forest, seeing rows of wooden trees with bright green leaves, and even a big pond of water behind me.
"Where...is this?" I stammered, too shocked to even speak straight.
"You were passed out here, though I'm glad to see you awake," the creature told me, before introducing herself in a cheerful tone. "I'm Amara. Happy to meet you."
She tilted her head and looked at me with confusion. "And you are?" She asked. "I've never seen you around before."
" I'm a human. That's probably why you've never seen me before." I stammered, still quite a bit shocked.
This confused Amara further. "Huh? You say you're a human?"
I nodded. Amara just stared. Looking, trying to see if I was lying or not. She tilted her head again as she spoke again. "But you look like....a normal Pikachu in every way."
"What? What are you talking about-" I was saying in disbelief when I noticed something strange about my hand when I raised it up.
My hand was covered in yellow fur, and looked more like a paw. I was nervous, and looked down to look at my feet. They were small and looked like paws as well. I looked behind me and saw a yellow tail, shaped like a thunderbolt.
Since the pond was behind me, I also saw my reflection afterwards. I stared in great shock. My fair skin. My freckles, my black hair with the blue stripe. My blue eyes. It wasn't there. Instead it was of a yellow creature, and I took notice of my features, including my black eyes, my long ears with the black tips, and the red circles on my cheeks.
"What happened to me?" I asked, now more scared as I turned to face Amara, who was more confused and weirded out.
"...um... you're kind of weird," she said, and changed the subject. "Your name? What's your name?"
"It's.....Varian," I stammered. Amara continued to stare, then spoke again in a questioning manner.
"Oh, Varian's your name?" She asked. I nodded my head again to answer her question.
"Well..." She started before bursting into cheerful chuckles. "Isn't it a funny name?"
I sighed. She was talkative, alright. Friendly, even. As she chuckled, I tried to remember something. I didn't understand. Not only did I not remember how I become a Pikachu, I didn't even remember my own past life. It was confusing.
"Somebody! Please, help me!"
The voice snapped me out of my confusion, and caught mine and Amara's attention." Huh? I hear shouts from over there."
Just then, another creature showed up from beyond the trees. It looked like some butterfly, with black antennas, ruby red eyes, small stubby blue arms, and a pair of white wings with thick black lines.
