The sound of a cellular phone's alarm pierced through the morning silence. The awful noise was soon silenced but a groan quickly followed behind it. That groan came from a male, who the alarm and phone belonged to. His name was Kyle Johnson.
Kyle sat in his bed for a few moments, rubbing his tired eyes as he stared at the curtains. He took note of how early it was, just by the fact that there was no sunshine peaking through the curtains like there usually was.
Normally, Kyle wouldn't be awake at this hour but there was a special reason. His girlfriend had planned a camping trip for a few of the people in their group and he was the driver for their adventures.
As Kyle sat on his bed, he heard the sound of feet shuffling in the hallway. The footsteps soon came to a stop outside of his door and that door was soon opening. At the door stood a short female with blond hair. That was Kyle's sister, Maxis.
"Good, you're awake." She said, standing in the doorway.
"I am?! You mean this isn't one of my nightmares?!" Kyle replied sarcastically, earning a groan from the other.
"We have to leave soon, so that way we can pick up Shannon and her cousin." Maxis stated.
Kyle groaned, "I know, I know." He tiredly sighed and watched as Maxis left, closing the door behind her.
Rubbing his eyes again, Kyle finally got up from his bed and began to get ready to leave. Taking no more than five minutes, Kyle was ready and standing by the front door, waiting for his sister to be done getting ready. After a couple of minutes, Maxis was meeting Kyle at the door.
"So, you were out of bed before me, and yet I still managed to get ready before you?" Kyle asked.
Maxis shrugged, "Oh well." She responded with before heading out the door.
Kyle followed behind her, making sure that their front door was locked before going to his blue Toyota 4Runner. As the sibling duo reached the SUV, Kyle hit the unlock button for the doors and the two of them piled into the vehicle. Once inside, the two buckled up and drove off, heading towards Kyle's girlfriend's house.

After a somewhat short drive, the blue 4Runner came to a stop outside of the house. Kyle and Maxis looked towards the front door of the house, seeing that it was opening and inside the doorway was one of the two people they needed to pick up.
Soon after that, two people piled out of the house, one being a female and the other being male. These two were Shannon Cipher and her cousin, Brian Hanby.
Shannon and Brian soon entered the back seats of the vehicle, after throwing in their bags that they had packed for the weekend. When they were in, Kyle and Shannon exchanged a brief kiss, which was a bit awkward since they were sitting pretty far apart in the 4Runner. After a few more moments, Kyle put the vehicle in gear and began driving again.

As they drove, the group of four would talk about different things. One of those things were their upcoming camping trip.
"So, what's the name of this place again?" Kyle asked as he drove.
"Lake Banana Bus." Shannon responded.
"And how did you find out about it?" Maxis asked.
"When I was looking for camping spots, I found some beautiful pictures of the lake and then saw some pictures of the cabins that they have for rent." Shannon explained.
"You made sure to rent a cabin that has room for five people, right?" Kyle asked.
"Yes babe, I did." Shannon said, answering her boyfriend's question.
"Five?" Shannon's cousin, Brian, asked.
"Yeah, our older brother Tyler is coming as well." Maxis said, "He'll be up after work today." She added.
Brian nodded after that and the group went on, talking about some other things that didn't relate to their little getaway.

About two or three hours had passed and the group of four was finally nearing their destination. They were on the road which was leading them to their cabin.
"Huh, there's more cabins here than I would've imagined..." Shannon stated, obviously being surprised because the pictures she looked at didn't show this many cabins.
"Yeah, how many has it been? 12 or 13 so far?" Brian asked, expressing the same shock that his cousin had.
"And none of them have been ours yet." Kyle grumbled quietly.
That was about to change because Maxis spotted their cabin number and called it out, just to make sure that her brother didn't drive by it like an idiot.
"Cabin 1023 right there!" She said, pointing to the cabin.

Kyle slowed the 4Runner and came to a stop on the side of the dirt road. After doing that, he looked at the cabin from inside the automobile.
Brian also scanned the cabin from inside the vehicle and said, "I don't know Shannon... It doesn't seem big enough for us four and their brother..."
"It'll be bigger on the inside." Shannon responded.
Kyle nodded, "And if it's not, my 4Runner has plenty of room for you to stay in, Brian." He added.
Maxis snickered quietly, hearing the snark in her brother's response. She soon got out of the vehicle, along with the other three. They went to the back of the automobile and opened the rear hatch. After that, they grabbed their bags and headed towards their rented cabin.
