About two months later as I was sitting looking out the window of my room watching sweet Skip munch grass. Just another day of nothingness, or so I thought. When Gretty, one of the caretakers, came in and excitedly said "My lady! You have a letter"
"From whom?"
"The Prince of Windsor!" She said bursting with excitement for me.
"Really? Can I have it?"
"Why yes my lady! It's yours isn't it!" She says as she handed it to me.
As I held the letter in my hands a wave of hope rushed over me. I felt the royal seal, it was so grand! For once something for me.
As I started to open the envelope Gregory abruptly came in and said loudly, "All mail must come through me! Especially if it's from someone Royal! I don't care who it's addressed to!"
He grabs the letter and starts to read,
"Dear Duchess of Edinburgh, the royal highness, Pince William of Windsor, wishes to see you at his Grand 16th birthday party. Signed William the Prince of Windsor."
"I would assume I'm going? Not to upset the Prince?"
"Why, yes. We mustn't upset the prince." Responds Gregory,"We mustn't upset the prince."
Then about a months worth of time went by and it was the day of the of the Great Prince William of Windsor's party. Gretty had helped me find a quite pretty dress, to be honest. It was mostly teal with beautiful hints of greens, mints and blues! It was so pretty that it would shine if the sun would see it! But here we don't get much of that.
Gretty and a few others help to get me dressed, but thankfully this dress is less complicated than others, so it's perfect for me. They put my hair in beautiful curls and I looked pretty, not to the point of yuck but good. Soon the carriage was pulled up to the front and for the first time in years I was leaving.
It was a long ride to London, it was about four hours. My word, it would've been faster and a whole lot less of bruises if I had ridden skip. London wasn't as glorious as I thought it would be, I mean, could it have been cleaned up but it just looked messy and stale.
Then I saw it, The grand Buckingham palace.
