Trigger Warnings: Self-Harm, Suicide
Feelings start to rise
I feel my head start spinning
I can't control my actions
This is all too much
"It's gonna be okay"
"We love you"
"If you need help, reach out"
This is all too much
I'm thinking ...
And thinking
And thinking
This is all too much
The voices in my head
You won't do it, coward
No one wants you here anyway
This is all too much
They're right
They always win
This is all too much
I approach my restroom, turning on the shower
I reach for my best friend
The one who's always been there for me
This is all too much
It glistens in the dimly lit bathroom
Grey. My new favorite color
I put it up against my wrist
This is all too much
The first cut. Pure adrenaline
I go for a second, then a third
I lose count
This is all too much
I feel woozy
I'm seeing stars
This is it.
It's finally not too much.
