Alexis POV
The drive to Buckingham

The drive was boring. It was me, Sarah, a bodyguard, and the driver.

I have known Sarah since I was a teenager. I had gone out for ice cream at a newly opened shop since I heard it was good. I wasn't alone, not really. I had one of my bodyguards inside the shop with me and one was inside the car waiting outside. Apparently people took pictures of me and the guard when I was getting my ice cream.  I had bought two extras for them since they had been with me for a while and I wanted to do something nice, even if it was just ice cream. But people thought that me and the guard were on a date. Which was understandable since I hadn't given him enough time to get into their suit/uniforms and was just in casual clothes.

That little scandal caused my parents to hire me a publicist for things like this. For them to swipe scandals under the rug. I have had a couple up until then but I got my parents to fire them since most of the publicist wanted to control me. They thought it was best if I stayed at the castle instead of out in public, they wouldn't let me out to do the simplest things. Like get ice cream. But Sarah was different. She didn't want any control of my life, she would warn me of things not to do in public or when someone can catch me, but never actually forced those rules on me. They were suggestion's.

She was actually one of the people that encouraged me to play football. She was like a second mother to me when I need it. It was not like my parents were absent, they were just busy. They made time for us but they couldn't always.

Sarah knew that I was under pressure. Me and George were meant to be the golden children. No mistakes could be made from us. But George had it a bit easier. He could make mistakes, and it would be looked past.

'He is young'

'He made a mistake, he is just a child'

'He is a boy, it's expected from him at his age'

I was the oldest daughter. I couldn't make mistakes with out looking like an ungrateful child. And Sarah knew that. She also knew that football was my escape from all this pressure.

So she encouraged it. She fought all the people who said I couldn't do it. She helped me convince my father to allow me to do it.

"So what do you have to do in Buckingham? You don't really have anything to do." Sarah snaps me out of my trance.

"Well, Olivia is home right now so I want to spend some time with her and the rest of the family. I have to pack stuff for the apartment. And I want ice cream." I haven't seen my little sister in a while and I probably won't be able to see her anytime in the future with me now being a professional footballer. And I want to spend time with my family before I go spend my time training and playing football.

"Alright. Well don't start any scandals will you, I need a break."

"Oh you love me." I smile to her.

She smiles back to me. "Yes I do."

— skip the rest of drive —

I got home and since it was barely the after noon and after lunch I decided to take my sister to the ice cream shop.

Right now I was in a booth inside the shop with my sister sitting in front of me. Our bodyguards were sitting in a booth near us.

"So how's school?"

"It's school Kat. I hate it. I don't want to go to school anymore." She complains like any child her age would.

"I know, but you only have a couple more years left. You don't have to go to College if you don't want to. Louis didn't go." I try to comfort her. She needs to know that she doesn't have to try to be perfect. I wish I had someone to tell me when I was her age.
