29 surgeries, 82 doctors visits, 3 near death experiences...

This is my life. I was diagnosed at a young age with leukemia, and I was born with a heart and lung deformity that prevented me from doing the things that normal people did. Anyway, this is my life.

"Vivi! Your going to be late for school!" I rolled my eyes, taking my oxygen from my face. "Mom! Calm down." I grabbed my bag and came downstairs in my pjs. Grabbing a granola bar I headed back upstairs leaving my bag, "..Woah." I reached the base of the stairs before I felt dizzy. I clutched the banister tryin to steady myself, I pulled my head up to see a worried Dorothy, Dorothys my mom.

I know she loves me, and sometimes it feels like a little to much. "Mom, We need to go to the ER. Somethings seriously wrong." I heard my mom call my dad from the man-cave, She walked me slowly out to the car and placed me in the back seat.

Before I knew it we were at the ER, great, we're back here again. It's not that I didn't like the ER...who am I kidding. Of course I did, but to me...It was more of a home then my own house. All the nurses here knew me, and so did about all the doctors. They walked me in the doors and, as usual, made a scene. "Help! My daughter!" I saw about 5-6 nurses come speeding towards me, Lila, G.G, Kayla, Laura, Stephanie, And Lara.

The look in their eyes scared me even, they quickly loaded me onto a gurney. We passed room 144 which is usually occupied by an old man by the name of Jerry..but wen I looked into the once  boring, tan room with beeping machines. I saw...a boy, possibly around my age. Who had decorated it to look like a freaking disco ball. I only got to see him for a split second before I was wheeled into the X-Ray room.

                                                                          ~Time Skip~

I was sitting in my room when the same boy I saw earlier came strolling through the door. "Uhm..Hi?" I said skeptically, He smiled, sitting on the chair next to my bed. I coughed a tad, quickly grabbing my cup of water. "Uh, you ok? The names Benjamen by the way." I nodded waving a hand at him, when I finished my water I looked at him laying my head back on my pillow.

"The names Vivianne." I extended a shakey hand which he greatfully accepted, "So, whats got you in this bleak room?" He said grimacing as he looked around, I scoffed placing a sarcastic hand on my chest. "My room is not bleak!" I giggled slightly at his expression and I responded to his first question. "Cancer, you?" He nodded, "Same, what kind you got?" I pushed myself further up on my pillow, folding my hands in my lap. "Leukemia. You?"

He winced a little pointing to his head, "Brain." I frowned reaching a hand toward him, he hesitated then placed his hand in mine. "Well. If my room is so bleak, what does your room look like hm?" He rolled his eyes, pulling me to my feet. "Follow me." He led me to his room it was decorated in banners of blue and green with led lights underneath the bed and comfy pillows scattered and disregarded like old trinkets around the room.

"They let you do all this?" I asked running my fingertips along the frame of his bed while I walked around. "Eh, Its not like they told me no. I'm a terminal patient." The sounds dropped from my mind. The only sound I heard was his last sentence...'Im a terminal patient..atient...ient."

Quietly I asked him, "your serious? There's nothing they can do?" He shrugged his shoulders, "Im sure there is. But my foster parents would rather let me die then spend money on a kid who wasn't even theirs." I walked toward him, he took several steps back and shook his head. "I think you should go back to your room." I shook my head, staring at him. "I want to help," He lost it, walking around the room he knocked things off of shelves and clutched his stomach, "Just. Go."

I looked back for just a seond to see nurses rushing in, he was in a ball on the floor whimpering and trying to escape the nurses grasp before he was sedated. It made me ache and I had no idea why...
