A paw prodded FrogKit's side, opening her eyes she saw her brother, WeaselKit, standing over them with a moss ball in his teeth, "Hey, get up you've been sleeping long enough to miss the first game of moss ball with me and MinnowKit as well as the dawn patrol." WeaselKit was always getting MinnowKit and FrogKit involved in his silly games, he even got them in trouble for sneaking out of the nursery once. FrogKit stood up and shook out her fur, giggling at the sight of small brown and cream colored tufts of fur flutter to the nursery den floor. They slowly made their way across the den to the entrance where she ducked under the brambles into the clearing seemingly dappled with different colored pelts which some were talking, coming back from patrol, or sunbathing. FrogKit looked around finally finding WeaselKit jumping up and down impatiently next to MinnowKit who looked nervous for their moss ball game, staring at the ground. "MinnowKit are you sure you want to play with us?" FrogKit asked with a concerned tone once she was standing infront of the two kits. MinnowKit looked up quickly "Yes, I'm sure I'll be fine, don't worry about me." MinnowKit said in a rushed way, more smoothly she added, "besides it's good practice." "Alright, if you say so" FrogKit said suspiciously. "Does it matter? let's just play, I'm getting impatient." FrogKit looked over to WeaselKit and nodded. WeaselKit threw the moss ball up into the air and batted it toward FrogKit who caught it with ease and flung it to MinnowKit who didn't time the catch right and fumbled onto the ground in a weird way hitting her head on a small pebble, "Ow!" MinnowKit yelled rubbing the spot where her head hit the pebble with her small paw. "What happened?!" DewBerry rushed out of the den to comfort her hurt kit. "I don't know FrogKit just threw the moss ball at her because we were playing, then she fell 'cause she couldn't catch it correctly." FrogKit winced at WeaselKit's words. MinnowKit would have caught it if she didn't miss time it but FrogKit knew WeaselKit was trying his hardest to not blame her or MinnowKit, he just gets scared in times like this, when one of us is hurt or in trouble. "I threw it at her and she miss timed it is all, we're sorry." FrogKit said looking down at her shuffling paws, DewBerry turned to eye FrogKit and WeaselKit, "She got hurt because of your little games." she turned back to MinnowKit and in a comforting voice she said, "Don't Worry we'll get DappleShine to look at your head and we'll get rid of all rocks and pebbles so it doesn't happen again." DewBerry looked up at BreezeWhisker who had come up to the four cats to see what all the noise was, "What happened?" he asked, "She hit her head on a pebble and it hurts." DewBerry replied, "Here I'll take her to DappleShine and see if she can help." BreezeWhisker picked MinnowKit up by her scruff and carried her across the camp to the Medicine den. DewBerry immediately whipped around and narrowed her eyes at FrogKit and WeaselKit, "I can't believe you two! MinnowKit could've gotten really hurt!" "It wasn't FrogKit's fault, I was the one who wanted to play moss ball." WeaselKit defended FrogKit leaving them surprised, "Alright, I guess it's not something worth bickering over so let's just leave it be, and be more careful next time, okay?" "Okay" WeaselKit and FrogKit said in unison. DewBerry padded into the den and laid down wrapping her tail around her paws and over her nose. WeaselKit walked into the den after her followed by FrogKit. She settled down near her mother and felt WeaselKit's fur touch hers. Breathing in his scent, FrogKit fell into a light sleep.
