Jonathan Fatu grumbled to himself as he walked through the hallways of the arena trying to find the writers room. It was his turn to get the scripts for tonight. He was upset because he and his fiance were fighting nonstop. He didn't understand her problem. She accepted his proposal but gets an attitude when he asked when they're gonna get married? Letting out a deep sigh he knocked on the door, opening it when somebody called out 'come in'.
Dominique Walker looked up from her conversation with her best friend Ishana and rolled her eyes. Ishana looked between the two of them. They were obviously fighting and she was going to figure out what they were fighting about.
"I'm here for the scripts." He said, looking over at Dominique out of the corner of his eye. Ishana nodded and got up from her desk and walked over to the stack of papers with a sticky note saying "BLOODLINE".
"Here you go." She said trying to hand the papers over to Jon but he had turned his attention to Dominique who was pretending to be busy on her phone.
"You gon act like i'm not standing here?" He said, trying to get her attention but she ignored him. "Dominique." He tried again , sucking his teeth when she still ignored him. He grabbed the papers from Ishana's hand before walking out the door.
"What was that about?" Ishana asked, walking back over to her desk and sitting in the chair. Dominique shook her head and sighed. She bit her lip as she started to absent-mindedly play with her engagement ring.
"We had a fight last night." She finally said looking over at Ishana. "It was bad." She added with a whisper.
"About what?"
"He keeps bringing up the wedding. Keeps saying he needs more from me than just accepting his proposal. I mean we've only been engaged for 9 months." Dominique looked over at Ishana when she placed a hand on her knee.
"Babe. 9 months is a long time. You and I both know that man loves the crap outta you and just wants to marry you." Dominique smiled a little.
"I love him too." She said, Ishana raised an eyebrow.
"And you wanna marry him too." Dominique didn't say anything. "Dom?" Dominique huffed and shrugged.
"I think I do." Dominique sighed and rubbed her temples. She felt a headache coming on. "It's just like he wants to get married tomorrow and wants to start having kids and move into a bigger house. It's too much at once."
"Have you told him that?" Dominique nodded and scoffed.
"Yeah, he tells me that I need to grow up and that he needs more from me than just accepting his proposal." Ishana felt bad for her friend. She knew that Dominique loved Jon and Ishana was sure that Dom wanted to marry him but something was holding her back.
Dominique stood up and checked the time. "I have to get back to Hunter's office. I'll see you later." Hugging her friend goodbye Dominique left the writer's room. She didn't feel like talking about her and Jon's relationship problems with anybody right now.
Waking into Hunter's office she sat on the couch and grabbed her IPad out of her bag. Rolling her eyes at the 15 text messages her mother sent her about the wedding and her wedding dresses. No matter where she went she couldn't escape planning for this wedding. She texted her mom back confirming that they would go dress shopping as soon as she landed back in Florida. She looked up from her IPad when Hunter walked through the door. She smiled at him and handed him some paperwork that needed to be signed.
She had been Hunter's personal assistant since 2016, the same year she met Jon. They didn't start dating immediately though, both of them being in relationships. They were attracted to each other and both of their partners at the time could tell. Her ex had broken up with her because he swore up and down that Dominique was sleeping with Jon when she was on the road.
