It was really early on a Saturday morning, and I decided to go and do some drawing outside. I quickly grabbed my sketch book and proceeded to leave my flat.
It was surprisingly nice and warm outside, much different than the usual London weather. I enjoyed the walk to the park. All of the of the cute couples around me and just the smiles on peoples faces gave me lots of inspiration for my drawings. It was unusual to see many people happy in London, especially on an early Saturday morning, so it was kind of special and nice.
It was not long before I found a nice spot in the grass where I had the best view, and sat down. I was just looking around to find something to draw, when I saw a guy with dark brown curls and a mesmerizing smile. I could only see a side of his face, but I recognized him straight away. It was the guy from One Direction. I wasn't a fan, but my sister was and judging by all of the posters in her room back home, his name was Harry.
I decided that I would draw him. I picked up my pencil and started to do the outline of the side of his face, but when I looked back up the curly haired boy was looking straight towards me. I could instantly feel the blood in my cheeks surfacing. I smiled as he waved to me and stated walking to where I was currently sat.
Moments later Harry was at next to me, not saying anything we both tried communicating without words, but it failed. 'Hey, I'm Harry. And you're?'
'K-Kylie.' I was astound, his smile, his voice, his everything was perfect.
'That's a very pretty name.' He noticed how red I was getting, so he changed the subject. 'I saw that you were sat here all on your own, drawing. So I though I might as well join you.'
'Ha Thanks. It was a really good day today, so I though I might as well come outside for a little bit, to get some inspiration for one of my paintings.'
Harry then proceeded to take the sketch book out of my hands. 'Who's that?' Harry was pointing at a picture I drew a few months ago.
'It's my mom. She passed away a few months ago and this was the last drawing I have of her.' I took out some more pages out of my sketch book for Harry to see. ' I used to draw here nearly every day. She was severely ill and it made her happy to see me draw. And to make it even more special I decided to draw her every time. Then one day I drew her and I stayed the night to finish up the drawing and fell asleep right there. The next morning I woke up and...she was...gone. So this drawing is something I remember her and the last night we spent together by.'
'I'm sor-'
'No it's fine, you asked and I gave you an answer.'
Me and Harry spent the next few hours just talking and finding out new and interesting things about each other.
'So...how is it being in the biggest boy band in the world?'
'You know it looks like it's all fun and games, but It's hard, We don't get to see our family's too often and when we do it's only for a short time. And we don't really have time for love, it's very hard to get used to something like that.'
I could see that he was being very serious. I personally coudln't imagine a life without love, or at least someone close that you can always go to. Somebody you love, more than just a friend.'Yeah, it seems quite hard to do.'
Me and Harry have been talking for what seemed to be forever, and it was clearly getting darker by the minute. 'I have to get going now, I have a recording session in 20 minutes. It was nice talking to you. Here's my number.' While saying that Harry took out his water bill from his pocket and wrote his number on the back. 'Call me if you want to chat.'And with that Harry was on his feet and was now waving for a cab.
I just stayed sat there staring at the peace of paper Harry had given me. I was so confused. Did I just meet Harry Styles, the boy my sister has been obsessing about over the last few years? Did he really just give me his number? Or was that just something I imagined?
Those thoughts kept my mind thinking all the way home and through the night.
