From the corner of his spectacled eye
He could see something there
A dark creature
Who wouldn’t meet his stare.
It opened its mouth
Revealing razor-like teeth
As if to laugh
It looked really horrid.
Someya looked around,
Expecting anyone to see
A group of girls passing by
He wished they could see it
And scream.
The creature cocked its hairy head
Its toothy grin growing wider.
He continued walking on
Ignoring the awful creature.
His footsteps echoed around
The empty corridor
He could see his shadow
On the gleaming floor.
Suddenly, something turned up
Out of nowhere
Like a wisp of smoke, it was
Already there.
He blinked once, twice
And even thrice.
A shadowy figure had emerged.
On the empty space beside him,
It flickered.
And in the same way it appeared
In the quickest way it disappeared.
