Dio returns! Hi, my sweet lovely bubs *affectionately squeezes with all the love musterable* /p. Despite my anxiety, I felt like putting something out there today! This is a messy rough draft, not the finalised product, but I decided to put it out anyway, because, like I said, I really felt like putting something out there today, for some reason, that goes against everything I am: a coward! I have a lot of drafts and general ongoing works, my head is very occupied. I do not put my all into drafts, I only care about conveying what I generally want, even if it is a little, so I can perfect it later; hence, if it is a little difficult to understand, I am sorry! I tend to write complex, so that does not help too, I know. I will also admit, my mental health has been acting up the past few days, so I am not at my fullest right now whatsoever - I apologise for that. With that, my hallucinations have alsoo been getting bad recently, so that is bothering me. I am still also getting kicked with writer's block. Not as bad as before, but it's still here to say hello and be a nuisance. Artist's block and writer's block are the biggest slap in the face I ever knowwwwww it is so hard to fully overcome *cry's*. Basically, life hates me, and I am somehow keeping it together. So, enjoy, maybe! Questions are always ask-able, and I will try my best.. hhh.˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
{Characters:}
Aramis McBride - he/him
Jadyn Yamito - she/her
⤴ (Briefly mentioned.}- - -
Before Aramis was a destination he never thought he would be able to locate himself in again. The empire on which the sun never sets. The glorious nation that was the imposing British Empire.
Aramis' eyes were fixated on the dark, looming sky above. When was the last time he took the time to admire the entirety of Earth that was now foreign to him - once native to him? He was unsure. Was it beautiful? Yes, absolutely; he could not deny that fact. All the same, there was something so full, yet so empty about the night sky. Sure, there stood the vivid stars everybody held so dear, shining as bright as always, if not more than before. Mere sprinkles of light swimming in a pool - an endless ocean of utter darkness. As a mortal, growing up, Aramis would always take note of how the stars seemed to lessen in not only its luminosity, but also in mass. Slowly, yet surely, darkness reigned once more, and, now.. Aramis could barely see much anymore. What has happened? Has that much time passed? The manmade veil that now cascaded the light that once held half of the world, has grown numb. Silenced. Robbed. The scales of human morality were chipping away. Not only were they ravaging themselves, but the very world holding them up, the home they swore to care for.
Humans slaving themselves away to destruction. Who was a demonic being to not love the irony?
Beauty, yes, but the facade of something far more ghastly.
Aramis brushes some locks of hair from his face, and starts to walk down the empty, demised streets of London. Its architecture has definitely been improvised since the last time he laid his eyes upon its overbearing sights. He was not sure whether to favour or oppose it. How long has it been since his heart basked in the wondrous nonpareils the British Empire had to offer? Aramis remembered almost every little detail about his past life, as a mortal - a being too far gone to be described as a monster. Yet, despite this, he felt out of reach from the heart of the British Empire, a place he once called home himself.
He could hear multiple things going on at once. From the soft caress of the wind, the hushed raucous drunkards from afar, the lullabies of the various birds from above, the grandiose chirps of crickets, down to the sounds of his own, weighted steps against the snow-kissed concrete. Aramis has courteously decided to drape his entire body, head to toe, with a cloak too big for even someone his size. Aramis did not want to garner attention to himself, so it was this or nothing at all.
