chapter two : Malaysia is a great country

The long-awaited day of the field trip arrived sooner than the students anticipated. Early Sunday morning, Midoriya Izuku stepped out of his dorm room. He woke up fifteen minutes early, but he found that almost everyone was already gathered. Pulling his luggage, he hurried to join his classmates.

"Deku-kun! " Uraraka was the first to greet him. "Good morning."

“Ah, good mor—NING?! ” Midoriya squeaked out the last part in shock when he saw heavy bags under her eyes.

"W-what happened?

"Seems like she didn't get to sleep last night, kero." Tsuyu, who was standing near the two of them interrupted.

"It's not like that, I got about three hours of sleep." Uraraka laughed weakly as she scratched the back of her head which didn't itch. "It's probably because I was feeling a little bit too excited hehehe! "

Is it really excitement though?

Midoriya could only muster a weak smile. He knew it was a lie. Instead of being excited, they all felt nervous, anxious and restless. Honestly, Midoriya hadn't slept much either since learning about TAPOPS and the power spheras. His conversation with All Might previously is still bothering his mind.

Today is finally the day where they will visit an unknown country, armed with so little information given by their teachers. A place where people are born without quirks, able to achieve a period of peace and prosperity, and most importantly, a place where villains doesn't exist—!

"That's irresponsible of you, Uraraka-kun! " The head of the class reprimanded sternly as he approached them.

"Insufficient sleep is not good for your health. Not only will it cloud your judgement, but it will also slow down your reflexes."

"Good morning to you, Iida—KUN?! " Midoriya's voice cracked once again when he saw the taller boy.

His eyes met with red and dry eyes that reminded him of their homeroom teacher. They stared unblinkingly into the distance with heavy bags under their eyes.

"I heard that he had been here since early five in the morning," Sero whispered in concern.

"Seriously?! " Midoriya couldn't help but gasp. However, when he turned to Sero, he noticed that his other classmates also had dark circles under their eyes.

No, it's not just them.

Now that Midoriya was observing his classmates closely, they were all speaking rather quietly, lacking their usual enthusiastic energy. Almost half of them got dark circles under their eyes except Todoroki, Tsuyu, Shouji, and Tokoyami — though honestly, Midoriya couldn't tell of the latter due to his feathers. Then, he realized something. Midoriya looked around looking for a glimpse of someone.

Where is Kacchan?

"Kacchan hasn't arrived yet? " Midoriya asked, immediately noticing the lack of presence of his childhood friend.

Kirishima is not here either. He could taste the dizzying sense of anxiety rises in his throat. Suddenly, a shouting voice announcing their arrival caught his attention.

"We are here! "

When Midoriya turned around, he could see the familiar, energetic redhead running with the person he was looking for, Bakugou with his usual scowl. His worry immediately dissolved like bubbles in the sea.
