Unexpected Love

The Morning

It was a normal day, as usual, waking up getting ready for work and having to work as normal days. Nothing fun happened after I broke up with my ex.

I loved him a lot, but he had other plans like playing with my heart and soul, so the healing is harder than the breakup.

We're still following each other on Instagram and I can see he really forgot me easily, being with other girls, partying or kissing maybe fucking...who knows? I think I have to get over it in some way but it's hard to bond with someone new again, that's how I think.

As I walked to my usual Cafe to get my hot chai tea latte, I bumped into someone causing my files to fall on the ground.

My nose hurt since where I bumped was very hard, but I ignored it. I quickly apologized without even looking at the person and got on my knee to get my files.

Then I saw another hand helping me.

It was him, I assumed. I didn't mind his help, and when I was about to grab another file, our hands touched, and I looked up at his eyes and quickly pulled back my hand.

Our eyes met. He is wearing a sniper hood that I assume was a shirt that cut holes to show his beautiful light blue eyes mixed with grey.

''Sorry lady. Are you okay?'' he said with his thick Austrian accen, which made me interested so little.

Then I nod quickly. ''Ah yes, I am fine. Thanks.'' I said it and averted my eyes, felt a little nervous, but luckily he didn't notice that much.

Then continued to get my files as he continued to help as well. He then stands up and offers me his hand to help me stand up. It was so kind of him to do that, and I kinda needed that to someone show me some kindness these days. 

As I hold his hand, I stand up and dust myself out of the dirt. He then handed me the files, and I could see through his eyes he was smiling. At least I thought it like that, and then I realized how he was towering over me with his height. I think to myself, "Damn boy." He was sure tall so tall that I felt like a child next to him it made me laugh inside. Then his thick Austrian accent heard again. 

''I'm sorry I didn't see you there. Are you okay? You didn't get hurt, right?''

''No, no, I'm pretty fine. I am sorry, I wasn't careful.''

''It's okay. Are you really alright?'' He said I was surprised at first, but then I smiled politely.

''Thank you, but I'm okay, and oh, thanks for helping me.'' 

''No problem, really,'' He said, then looked around.''What's with the files, it looks interesting'' He said, pointing to the files that he gave to me.

''It's no big deal...(sigh) just work. You know.'' As I looked at the files that were mixed and I have to deal with that later. It will be a pain in the ass but there was nothing that I can do. Then he asked me a sudden question that surprised me. His tone was a little amused.

"Ahh, I can see how boring it looks."

He pointed to the sticker, which I put on my files. It was a sad emoji, and I felt embarrassed for a moment. It looked a little childish. I hide my files against my chest with a nervous chuckle. He chuckles a bit too

"Don't be shy. I think it's pretty normal to make things sometimes fun in your own world."

I looked up at him and nodded slightly

"Yeah... but believe me, I don't really wanna deal with them. Shortly, stickers don't work."

He speaks again and holds his hands behind his back

''Hey, if you want, we can go to that cafe over there to grab a coffee, and you can fix the files. How does that sound? And it's my treat.''

I was a little interested too so I accepted.

''Oh yeah? Hmm...then why not? Thank you.''

''By the way, It's Konig, you can call me that,'' He said in a friendly tone, and it caused me to smile

''Then let's go shall we Konig?'' He then nodded, and we walked to the cafe that he mentioned.
