----Prologue-----

.

Slow. Slow is the key. Right? Louis Tomlinson thinks he's in love. How does he not know? Well, he thinks he's in love with his best mate, Harry Styles. But he hasn't been talking to Louis. So does that really make him his best mate anymore? Simple questions. Simple answers. Right?

-------

"We're going to the studio to work on the new album. Alright?" Louis asked knocking on Harry's door. Harry mumbled an ok and came to the door. He only gave Louis a measly glance editor pushing past him. Louis sighed and followed him down the steps and to the kitchen.

"Do you want a cup of tea?" Harry mumbled to Louis.

"Please." Louis nodded and Harry turned on the kettle and waited for it to boil. Louis was thoughtful, searching for a way to strike up a conversation. "Do you have any ideas for a new song?" Louis asked curiously, but Harry only shrugged. Louis sighed and sipped his tea. We are going to be working on the new album, Take Me Home, I think it was called.

"You?" The sudden voice snapped him out I his thoughts.

"Uh, honestly? No, not really." Louis was a little shocked. This was the longest conversation that he and Harry had had in a while.

"Louis?" Harry's voice snapped him out of his train of thought again.

"Yeah?" Louis asked, and Harry chuckled a bit, showing his adorable dimples. Wait adorable? Had Louis always thought of Harry that way? Anyway... It's been a long while since Harry had laughed because of Louis.

"I asked you a question?" He more like asked than actually telling me telling Louis.

"Oh, uh, right. Can you repeat it?" Louis asked shyly.

"I said 'are you sure? You seem like you have something on your mind.'" He said, repeating what he had spoken about earlier.

"Oh, um I may have a few ideas." He smiled down at the mug of tea in his grasp.

"Care to share?" Harry had asked innocently, as if he knew something that Louis didn't.

"What do you know that I don't, Curly?" Louis asked, eyeing Harry suspiciously. Harry opened his mouth to speak when Liam burst through the door.

"Time to go!" He hollered at us and then left again.

"I'm going to make you tell me. Whether you like it or not." Louis smirked evilly at Harry and his eyes widened a bit before he collected himself and just smiled cheekily and followed me out of the door.

"Where do you want to sit, Harry?" Louis asked when they had finally gotten down to the car that they were taking.

Harry bent down close to Louis and whispered sweetly in his ear.

"I don't care, as long as I'm next to you." Louis shuddered as Harry's hot breath hit his skin. But Louis only nodded before plopping down in the far back seat, followed closely by Harry. Louis hoped that Harry didn't see how he affected him just a moment ago. Louis guessed that Harry had lucked out, them two being the first ones Liam decided to pick up so they got first pick at seats.

"Come on get out!" Paul urged them out of the cramped little van. The boys groaned and piled out, trying to squeeze the out of the door at once.

Paul groaned as they landed in a pile on the wet ground. Thunder boomed around them, causing Louis to jump into the arms of the closest person to him.

He whimpered and buried his face into whoever's chest the person belonged to. Louis always has been afraid of thunderstorms. Ever since he was a kid they have always bothered him.

Louis jumped when a pair of large hands wrapped around his small body and rain poured down and drenched only the two of them while the others had ran inside the studio. No fans were swarming around the studio today, which was odd for them. The were so used to being swarmed all of the time.

"Harry?" Louis gasped as another loud boom sounded.

"I got you, Louis." The familiar low and raspy voice sounded in front of him. "I won't let you go." Harry mumbled in Louis' ear before they both stumbled inside the studio.
