I was there for a while. A long while. They brought me food though I forgot how many times. I didn't eat it and only drank tiny sips of the water they brought. The lights stayed on the whole time and I hadn't moved from the spot on the wall. Something finally changed. The one way mirror exploded into the room. I looked up. A kid with messy dark hair crawled through the broken glass. It was September.
"Get up," he yelled at me.
I stood up as he raced over and grabbed me by my arm.
"We gotta get out of here," September told me as he dragged me over to the window.
He boosted me up and through it and I fell onto the floor and stared up at the ceiling. I mentally prepared myself for pain. September crawled through the opening and pulled me back up to my feet.
"We can leave now," he yelled over the noise I had forgotten to notice.
June was at the door to the surveillance room we were in preventing anyone from entering. His face said he was having the time of his life. He brushed his blond tipped bangs out of his face.
"Alright. I'll bring up the rear. Get going," June yelled back.
September pulled me towards the corner of the room where there was a ladder.
"Climb," he commanded.
I compiled without saying anything. I kept going up and up until I finally was on the roof. September was right behind me.
"Helicopter," he said and pointed to the edge.
I just stared at him. I hated being high. I hated flying. I didn't want what I was sure to come after we got back to the ranch. September mumbled something under his breath and pulled me over to the edge and pushed me into the helicopter. June came a few seconds later.
"Go, go, go," June yelled.
"Would you like to fly the copter? Go ahead. I'll just sit here watching you fail," December said from the pilot's seat, doing his longer hair up in a man-bun.
"Just go," June said.
We took off into the sky. I stopped paying attention to June and December's conversation. They were twins and couldn't let the other just do something. The other had to monitor it and make sure it was done right. September was my twin and he was content to sit in silence for now.
I couldn't tell if it was June or December that clipped a blade on one of the skyscrapers. Or if one of the CIA helicopters that were chasing us got in a shot. The whole helicopter shook and lights started blinking red and there were alert sounds everywhere.
"Prepare for impact!" December screamed as we plummeted towards the ground.
I grabbed at nothing. At least the pain wouldn't last too long. Unfortunately when we hit the ground we didn't die. We were just jarred severely bad. My head bashed against June's seat as we crashed onto the street. I was dazed for a second or two and when I came back into the world the helicopter was on fire and September was dragging me out of it. December and June were already out. The fire was getting closer and licked at my feet making them burn. September finally managed to get us out and into the open air.
The CIA had surrounded us, and our dead helicopter.
"Hands in the air!" one of them shouted.
To my surprise June, December, and September slowly raised their hands. I did as well. Tom, Megan, Shawn, and the youngish women from before walked out of the crowd towards us. They were the only ones that approached us.
Shawn yanked my hands down and into handcuffs. "I told you I would get you to crack," he said into my ear.
I shook in fear as he pushed me toward a car. Others were getting shoved into different cars. I was cramped into the vehicle and Shawn got in and sat next to me.
