Johnny Cage is talking to the Kombat Kids and says

Johnny: "Now, as I'm sure you're unaware, judging from the lack of Gift Cards, today is our 6 week anniversary, secretary Blake says he's 'Pleased with our progress'."

Kung Jin: "You could spit in his hair and he'd be pleased with our progress..."

Jaqui: "He was smart enough to have Mister Cage pit this team together."

Johnny: "Speaking of the team... We just got a new member..."

Takeda: "Are they apart of the Lin Kuei?"

Johnny: "No... He's actually a kid from Japan, 17."

Kung Jin: "You're letting a kid join us!?"

Johnny: "Hey! He's a strong kid! And he's taken gunshots to the face!"

Everyone: "WHAT!?"

Johnny: "Let me all introduce you to... Son Y/N."

Y/N walks in and looks around

Y/N: "Wow... This room is cool..."

Cassie: "Uh... How old is he again...?"

Johnny: "He's 17, we checked his DNA to see what age he was, he said he couldn't remember..."

Cassie: "But... He's so short... He looks like a plushie..."

Y/N: "A what?"

Cassie: "And what's that behind him?"

Y/N: "Oh, that's my tail."

Cassie: "...You're what...?"

Y/N: "My tail, I was born with one."

Cassie: "And why do you have a stick?"

Y/N: "Oh, this is my power pole."

Cassie: "What?"

Y/N: "It's something my grandfather gave me."

Cassie: "He gave you... A red stick...?"

Y/N: "Hey! It is not just a red stick!"

Cassie: "What can it do then?"

Y/N: "I'll show y-"

Johnny: "No! Do not! This place is indoors, kid!"

Y/N: "Oh... Yeah..."

Johnny: "Okay, now, back to what I was saying, for your first mission, you're going to the Lin Kuei temple, we haven't heard from the grandmaster in a while... So we need to make sure he's still in our side. That he's got our backs if things flare up with Outworld. You need to bring him in. But don't be surprised if Sub-Zero's not willing to cooperate."

Cassie: "Why is he worried about Outworld? I thought Kotal Kahn respected the Reiko Accords..."

Johnny: "He does. But he's facing a Civil War. The rebels win, those Accords will be history."
