||1st  pov||

"Oh! how I already miss the States and I already spent a day back in Japan. Why does my dad have to work in Japan again!"

I yelled out to myself in frustration but not too loud so my mom didn't hear me it was as clear as crystal that I missed my Friends in the USA. I missed their carefreeness, I miss the teachers not caring if their students skipped their class, and I miss how liberal my old school was. Now I'm being forced to try out for UA and if I  don't make it in for UA then some conservative private school. My mom specifically picked out the conservative part of Japan because according to her I'm too 'laid back' whatever that's supposed to mean.

"Welp I have 3 weeks to prepare for the exams and I also need to organize my room or else my mom is gonna ask me 'How do you live in a dump like your room.'"

A few hours passed by and it was time for me to eat dinner I didn't really feel like cooking nor did my mom so she told me to eat whatever was available.

"Hmmm...Nothing good to eat in the fridge. Hey mom! You don't happen to have those instant stuff and like you have to boil and cook it, you know what I'm talking about?"

"Just look in the pantry and you'll find it y/n."

"Jeez no need to be harsh about it," you mumbled to yourself so your mom didn't hear you.

I grabbed some instant noodles and poured the hot water into the noodles. As I  was eating my mom asked you a question.

"Have you been practicing for the UA practical exam?"

"Not really? I mean I guess I've been trying to improve my quirk but not necessarily preparing for the test," you stated in a monotone voice while munching on your food.

"Y/n when will you finally start taking stuff seriously? It's in 3 weeks!"

"Jeez ca-"

"This is exactly why I'm happy we moved out of the States! You were way too carefree and careless! You barely studied for tests nor practiced for anything."

I just stood there in silence didn't know what to say back. My mind went black right there. It's like all the things I wanted to yell back washed away. Quickly finishing your food you went back to your room

Observing my unfinished room, I noticed it still had some cute decor but one thing stood out to you the most and it was a picture of you in Elementary with some of your old friends and this one kid with blonde hair and red eyes.

"I don't really remember his name to be honest but it's not like I'll ever see him again."

Oh! How I was so wrong

It was now the day of the UA exam. You barely practiced for it, honestly, you only practiced to make sure you didn't insanely embarrass yourself.

Welp if I fail no need to be shocked about it!

Noticing my surroundings I see a bunch of people. Subtly you were observing each person until you noticed a familiar face. He had green hair and looked like he tripped on air.
