The Demon's Sword

Prologue

(No One's Pov)

A long, long time ago, Hundreds of years ago. It was a time of peace, some say the most peaceful time for Japan. The Edo/Tokugawa Period. Although during this time a simple mistake would change the world's history as we know it and dunge it into a secret war.

It was the 8th century. The god of death Enma was judging a soul when he noticed a mistake. Some of the seals holding back the demons were cracked. So he asked some shinigami's to check it. They predicted that the cracks wouldn't affect anything until a long time in to the future, but eventually time caught on.

On March 18th 1630. The seals holding the underworld broke, and the flooding of demons happened. They emerged in Kyoto. They started to create havoc. The humans had no chance as their superhuman strength, speed, and their supernatural abilities were to much for them.

In order to end this. Enma decided to ask the the twin creator gods Izanagi, the god of Creation and Life and Izanami the goddess of Creation and Death for help. As punishment for Enma's foolish actions toward this problem, the twin god's made a deal.

(March 31, 1630)

It has been to week since the demon outbreak, and civilisation flopped. Hundreds of people died every day, people couldn't fight back. But when all hope seemed lost, a giant red storm appeared in the sky for all to see. As everyone looked up they saw three beings appear in the clouds. Izanami and Izanagi with Enma in front of them.

Izanagi: "People of Japan. There has been a mistake that has lead to the deaths of hundreds. As retribution my sister and I have decided to give you a way to fight back."

As Izanagi lift his hands up a light started to appear above everyone as they started to feel empowered. Izanagi then continued to explain that he had gave the humans the powers and abilities to fight the demons. And as for Enma, his powers and position of ruler of hell was taken away until all demons were killed. So a force of Samurai was crafted to fight. Said samurai made a deal to not join in any wars between other humans as to keep a balance.

As time moved on, more and more demons started to be killed with this the samurai started to become less and less existent. WIth most modern people never hearing of this group. But as long as the demons continue to exist there will be a force of demon hunters ready to kill them.
