In the southwest area of Hidden Leaf Village, you can find the residence of the Fourth Hokage, known as the Uzumaki Namikaze Estate. In the backyard of the village leader's home, two adults, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, are observing their three children, Mito, Menma, and Yayoi, as they practice their taijutsu katas. The parents have decided to train their children as much as possible so that when the masked man finally emerges from the shadows, one of their children, who is prophesized to be the saviour, will be prepared to face him.
Minato attempted to locate a man using his Flying Raijin seal, which never disappears from anything it's marked. However, all he discovered was a piece of flesh buried in the ground. The flesh was brought back to the village to determine if it matched any shinobi's DNA, but no positive match was found. The issue was that conclusive evidence of whether it was Madara or not could be found since the village only started keeping DNA samples from shinobi in the hospital archives under the Second Hokage's reign.
After a training session, Minato and Kushina asked their children to come inside for lunch. Naruto, the eldest of the Uzumaki Namikaze children, observed this scene from his bedroom window. He has blond spiky hair, cerulean blue eyes, strange whisker-like marks on his cheeks, and a heart-shaped face. One may wonder why he is not training with his family. The answer is that he never does anything with his family. Naruto feels neglected by his parents and siblings, who receive more attention than him. The villagers also treat him differently because he has the Nine-Tails sealed inside of him.
The following day, Naruto wakes up and goes downstairs, only to find the house empty. He clenches his fist in frustration and realizes that he has been left behind once again. He heads to his father's study and begins searching through the jutsu section. He takes the shadow clone jutsu and some shuriken jutsu. Just as he's about to select another jutsu, he hears laughter coming from outside. He rushes up the stairs to his bedroom, shuts the door, jumps out of the window, and hurries to the nearest available training ground.
After hours of training, Naruto pants on the ground, determined to prove himself to his family and the villagers by honing his jutsu and skills.
"I need to try one more justice," he said, pulling out a small scroll labelled "summoning." He opened it and read the instructions aloud, "I need to offer some blood and use these hand signs." He went through the intricate hand seals, slammed his hands onto the ground, and shouted, "Summoning Jutsu!" Suddenly, he disappeared in a puff of smoke and reappeared on a large platform amidst stormy skies, rain, and loud lightning. "Where am I?" he nervously muttered and began to look around. He soon realized that the platform was in the centre of a large pool of water, and yellow eyes were staring at him. Suddenly, something started to rise - a large octopus-like creature with a face instead of a head, bulging eyes, large fangs, and a golden headset.
"Who are you, little boy?" a feminine voice asked with a hint of threat. "I am Naruto Uzumaki," he replied, his voice weakening. "Uzumaki? You don't look like one with your red hair," she said, eying his blonde locks with caution. "It's from my father," he answered with a monotone voice.
The creature appeared surprised as she looked at him, but then sensed his chakra reserves, and was honestly surprised to see that he was telling the truth. "Hmmm, do you know where you are, little Malstrom?" she said with a little bit of warmth. He replied, "No, I tried to do a jutsu and it was called the summoning-" but stopped mid-sentence, realizing where he was. She continued speaking, "Yes, you are in the Kraken's home, the dark abysses," with a hint of pride. Naruto was shocked because he had overheard from his mother that the Krakens were one of the summoning contracts of the Uzumaki clans summoning contract. It was one of the strongest contracts in the world.
"I am the boss of the summons," he shouted in awe. She smiled and introduced herself as Skach. Naruto asked if he could be her summoner. She agreed and presented a summoning contract. Naruto was shocked to see the previous holder was Mito Uzumaki, the wife of Lord First. Skach confirmed that Mito was a strong and great woman.
Naruto signed the contract and asked Skach to train with him. She agreed and instructed Naruto to go home to reverse the hand seals and do the blood thing again. Naruto appeared in his room and went to bed.
The next morning, Naruto woke up early and left the house quietly. He went to the family library to get some books on D and C-level jutsus. He then sneaked into the kitchen to grab some food, unaware that his mother Kushina saw him and felt sad that he had to sneak food.
Naruto made his way to the hidden training grounds of the first and second Hokage. He approached a group of five trees arranged in a star formation, which were known to possess unique properties, including sensitivity to chakra. Naruto picked a piece of bark from one of the trees and sent his chakra into it to determine his elemental affinity.
He discovered that his main affinity was water and decided to practice the leaf-balancing exercise. He spent the rest of the day training and returned to his room exhausted. He fell asleep and dreamt of a strange wheel.
