Being a Mystical Swordsman, a very exclusive class in Elder Tale, Hikaru is able to wield sword items and staff items to supplement both his offense, defense, and support capabilities.
Hikaru was also granted rare items that were considered to be impossible to acquire, even in raids. The items that was provided to him was a perk of his exclusive class. But Hikaru is still able to equip and acquire items that is depending on the build that he wants.
His build is usually an All-rounder build that has a balance of magical and physical stats. He also uses Full Control Offense Build when he is fighting on the frontlines, and Absolute Defense when he is a sub-dps or a support.

Made from a dragon's reverse scale, celestial threads, void cloth, and enchanted threads. May the wearer of this uniform be reminded of their duty to protect and support their comrades.

An item for completing the event called "The Dragon's Return." A proof of friendship and trust to the Dragon Sovereign. This item is only given to the first player to ever complete the requirements of the event. Said to grant the Protection of the Dragon Sovereign by having a Max HP and Max MP boost. Also said to speed up MP recovery and skill cooldown by 25%. It also allows one to summon the Dragon Sovereign himself either in their human or dragon form.

The Dragon Sovereign, Neuvillette from the event "The Dragon's Return." Said to be able to switch to human and dragon form.

He also bestows the skills "Equitable Judgement" that will deploy a raging torrent that deals massive Elemental Dmg to the enemy, and "Ancient Dragon's Authority" that allows to grant an additional atk, def, and debuff resistance for 15 seconds.
Tome of Eternal Flow
A magic item that is bestowed by Neuvillette to his contractor. Said to increase Immobility Debuffs, Healing Effect, and Magical Attack to self and allies. Activates the passive "Purifying Rain of the Heavens" to remove debuffs with a cooldown of 60 seconds.
Trivia
* Misa Takayama of the famous D.D.D is Hikaru's critiquing teacher during his teaching internship. They've known each other and had a senpai-kouhai relationship.
* Hikaru is known as the mysterious member of the legendary Debauchery Tea Party. At Hikaru's request, his name became anonymous amongst those who knew about the Tea Party's exploits.
* The Tea Party recruited Hikaru when they encountered him at the entrance of the Hades' Breath Raid Dungeon. Kanami decided (read: forced) Hikaru to join the Tea Party against his wishes. Eventually, he gave in and decided to join the raid. That is how Hikaru joined the Tea Party.
* Said to be a strategist like Shiroe but Hikaru is more on the frontlines so he will sometimes improvise the plans of Shiroe. Shiroe admits that he is having a hard time putting Hikaru in every strategy due to his unique class and skill set.
* Hikaru and Akatsuki are childhood friends and remained friends until high school, even though Hikaru advanced grades and went to university.
