I looked out the window, staring in wonder at the moon. I was always fond of it, along with the night. it's so quiet at night, and the forest seams so pretty...But I never get the chance to explore it. My mind drifted off, trying to escape the stink of alcohol and cigarette smoke, but I was pulled back to Earth by a loud voice. "Nina! Where the fuck are you?"I turned away from the moon, and looked down. Then I started walking to where the voice came from. "Ah, there you are! Why the fuck aren't you making dinner?" It was my father...My adoptive father I mean...I could smell the horrible stench of beer coming from him. I walked past him and into the small kitchen, and made a sandwich, it wasn't much, but I wasn't in the mood to do anything else.I had a quick thought, and smiled. I went under the counter and grabbed some rat poison and sprinkled it on top of the sandwich. I went back over to him, and gave it to him, a smile plastered on my face...
