location: the brown's house, manchester
ever since marcus proposed to jas, my life has been pretty hectic. from jasmine panicking about whether she's ready or not, to the wedding planning happening in my house and not marcus's big ass mansion ( if you can't tell i'm a bit salty about that ), my life is looking a bit chaotic. to make matters worse, since jas is all loved up, she wants me to be too. i understand that it's sweet that she wants me to find someone, but one thing about jasmine is that she doesn't know when to drop something. so here i am, at my own house, helping jas and marcus plan their wedding, with my sisters, aaliyah and amara with us. and of course jas is pestering me about my love life. she has been for months now.
"i just think it would be the perfect opportunity for you to get a date. it would be super romantic." jasmine gushes, marcus nodding in agreement. "especially considering you'll be a bridesmaid..." she trails off, causing my jaw to drop.
"i'm sorry what?!" i exclaim, looking at her with wide eyes, which she just laughs at. me? a bridesmaid? who would've thought? "really?"
"of course mimi! you're my cousin, and practically my little sister. it would be weird if you weren't my bridesmaid." she explains, pulling me in for a tight hug which i am more than happy to return.
"i can't believe this. oh my god i'm gonna get emotional." i laugh as the tears well up in my eyes. honestly if i don't laugh i'll burst into tears at the thought of my cousin actually getting married.
"aww mimi." marcus coos, bringing us both into a hug. "there's no way we wouldn't have you in this wedding."
"ok you guys are being way too mushy. it's making me kinda sick." sienna jokes, trying to lighten the mood slightly but instead just making us all roll our eyes.
"seriously enna?! they were having a cute moment! why'd you have to ruin it with your fat mouth?" sofia retorts, with aaliyah dapping her up, me and amara gasping and marcus and jasmine try to hide their laughs.
"oh! we're moving like that? ok you know what-" she starts, which just makes me panic as anything out of sienna's mouth must be followed with an immediate apology. it would be safe to say that she has landed me in a few sticky situations over the years due to her way with words. and i'm getting tired of sweet talking my way out of these situations. i have to stop her talking so i cover her mouth with my hand.
