Isabella looked out the window, her leg bouncing rhythmically to the beat of the current song she was listening to — 'Not You Too' by Drake.
"Bells, estamos aquí." (Bells, we're here.) Her mother, Esperanza, spoke to her, making the teenage girl nod her head and grab her backpack.
Isa was currently headed to a game for the AAU team she played on, her championship game specifically. The girl was nervous to say the least, being the only girl on her team was hard. But, she knew today would especially be a struggle.

The girl walked into the crowded hallway, stepping to the side and texting her groupchat to find out where the team was.

Isa paitently waited for the curly headed boy to come and get her, scrolling on her insta feed in the meantime. "Hey! You're Isabella Hernandez, right? Can you sign my jersey? I have a game today!" A boy ran up to the girl, handing her a sharpie. "Of course, lil bro!" The girl said, putting her signature and a heart on the jersey, handing it back to the kid and dapping him up. "Thank you!" He exclaimed, running back to his friends. Isa smiled, about to look back down at her phone until she spotted a certain curly head walk out of the gym.

"We have an entrance to the locker room from the gym, it's quicker through here." Mason said, grabbing the girls wrist. "Hello to you too." The girl scoffed, letting the boy drag her away.

"Im tellin you, Im gonna dunk this game!" Her teammate Khasir, also the shortest kid on the team, said, drinking so of his water. "Aye, save that for the game." Coach Kamari said, grabbing the water away from the boy. "But im thirstyyy!" Khasir said, reaching for the water. "Boohoo, cry me a river." One of her other teammates, Asher, butted in. "Shut up Ash, who even asked you?" Now Jaden was butting in, making the rest of the team mad.

"WE WANT ISA!" The girl heard the crowd chant, making her smile and shake her head. "You wanna sub in for Mahki?" Kamari asked, looking at the girl sitting on the bench. "Aye, bet! Im bouta get a 3 for my highlights," She said, standing up. "SUBS!" Her coach yelled.

Isa ran onto the court and the crowd starting cheering loudly, sometimes being the only girl on the team had its perks. The girl ran up to Mahki, slapping his hand while he ran over to the bench. Her team was currently doing foul shots, so she rubbed the bottom of her shoes, waiting for the shooter to finish.
Her teammate, Nai, had made both of the shots and Isabella was currently playing defense. Isa's check had the ball currently and tried to pass to one of his teammates. Isabella easily blocked it and only brought the ball up to the 3 point line, making the shot and doing the "Ice in my veins" celly.

Her team easily won, 78-26, making the other team mad salty in the handshake line. Mason held up his hand in front of Isa, making her count the amount of chips they'd won. "Alright thats 1.. 2.. 3.. anddddd 4!!" The girl said, dapping up the boy. "Alright yall, lets take our pic now yall playin too much."
