Jupiter Winster slowly walked over to her mothers grave, her heart a soft patter in her chest. She fell to her knees on the soft brown dirt, a half smile on her face, a tear travelling down her cheek. She nestled a bouquet of purple hydrangeas and roses on the grave, knowing her mother would have appreciated them, the beauty in them. "Hey mom. Simon saved my life again; Thomas was being creepy as ever. He tried to rape me." She smiled and let out a small laugh, even though the subject wasn't funny. "Well, see ya later. I hope it's comfortable in there." Jupiter stood up and started to head back to the music shop, she was about to start her shift. A smile crossed her face as she remembered the good news; Simon had hit Thomas so hard, that he put Thomas in a coma. He wouldn't be able to bother her for a while. A small bell dinged as she entered the shop, and she smiled when she saw the badge on the desk that said Manager. It was her position Until Thomas got back, which he might never. Not because he died or anything, but he might lose his job after what he did to Jupiter. "Do you have any Pentatonix albums?" A soft voice asked. She looked around the shop to see a tall pretty Red haired girl looking over at her. She smiled at her, and pointed over to the left side of the shop. "Yeah, they're over there. Fan?" The girl nodded, and stepped over to the place Jupiter had pointed. She grabbed 4 albums from the shelf and walked over to the counter. Jupiter smiled again, her hands holding the cases carefully, as she held them underneath the scanner. "I'm Wren." The girl said. Jupiter raised an eyebrow and laughed, shaking Wren's hand. "There you go. Have a good day." Jupiter said, and waved to Wren as she left, and the smile stayed plastered to her face.
She stepped through the sparkling green grass, her swift movements beautiful and graceful. She walked up to the pond, the sound of her heart pounding in her ears. She fell forward into the water, the liquid turning into glass, which smashed under her weight. She floated In the glass shards, hundreds of faces staring out at her from behind the crystal. A few caught her eye; the round pretty face of her sister, the faces of her parents, Simon.. and Wren. The faces slowly transformed into Those of demons and dark angels, their mouths curling into insane smiles. Maniacal laughter echoed around her, and her scream was the only thing that kept her from falling. Her blood stained the glass, and then she woke up.
Jupiter sat up with a jolt, a gasp escaping her mouth. Her throat hurt, as if she had been scratching at it; which She probably had. "CRAP!" She shouted, as she saw the time; 8:54. School started in 6 minutes. She got dressed and raced out the door, walking in the school gates just in time. Her heart sunk when she realised where she was... School. The place she hated most in the world. Her sigh came out in a small cloud of mist, and goosebumps sprang up on her arms. The first three periods went by quickly, and it felt as if she was in another world. A world where people cared. She had her headphones in the whole time; her mind just wasn't there.
Harry shoved Jupiter to the ground, and her headphones fell off, snapping in half. Her phone fell out of her pocket, the screen smashing. "Please. I don't have time for this." Daren said, his hand raised to hit Jupiter. He gave her a vicious slap, and she cried out in pain. Jupiter saw a flash of Red and long legs, and looked up. Wren was standing over her, holding Daren by the collar, lifting him up,and holding a fist up to Harry. She gave the two of them a creepy smile, then dropped them.''Jupiter! Are you okay? I heard you yell... and I knew it was your voice.." Jupiter smiled as she took Wrens outstretched hand, her head pounding. "Thank you." She said, and let go of Wrens long fingers. She picked up the broken electronics, a small sigh escaping her lips. Wren glanced over at the smashed Phone, and a smile crept up to her face. ''I can fix that." Jupiter glanced at Wren and laughed. ''Thanks again.'' She said, looking over at the beautiful redhead with curiosity. ''Wanna grab some food? I'm starved.." Wren said, her eyes lighting with hope. Jupiter laughed. "Okay, that'd be nice.."
The pizza place was bustling with people in a mad rush for food. Wren and Jupiter sat in a small booth on the side of the shop; a secluded area that was relatively quiet. Simon strode up to Jupiter and Wrens table, a lazy smile on his face. "Hey Jupiter. Wren. Ummm.. I was wondering, could I maybe.. uhh. Draw you?" Jupiter looked down at her hands. "I guess." Simon smiled and clapped his hands together, Already pulling out his paintbrush. He sat down and started to paint, his hand moving across the page, drawing The curves of Jupiters face, her green eyes, soft brown hair. He held the picture up, showing it to the two girls, a proud smile on his face. The painting was perfect in every way.
