He kicked the door open with so much force that screams immediately filled the air and the door lay wasted on the floor. The humans immediately begun running towards the end of the room, hoping to make it out the back door, but his demons came in through that door; effectively blocking it, and crossing their arms over their chest.

Humans were pesky little bugs and he had to physical restrain himself to keep from eradicating them.

"I think I've been kind enough" Lucian said with terrifying calmness, as he set one of the seats upright and calmly sat. He spread his legs and clasped his hands as he spoke, letting his two index fingers move from his chin to his lips.

"Now I'm done playing by any rules, you tell me where Olivia is and I don't rend every one of your hearts from out of you" a wicked smile formed on his lips

"and I have all day"

Olivia cowered in the corner, fearing the worst

"I deserve this, I deserve all of this"

She whispered to herself.

She was sitting on the floor and she lifted her knees, so her legs covered her stomach. She shook from head to toe. She could not even wish to be saved, because that meant Lucian would find out what they had done,

What I have done.

The yelling continued and when a chair hit the wall above her head, a scream escaped her lips. The chair shattered into pieces and some fell on her. Hot painful tears made a trail down her face. She clasped her hands over her mouth, shaking her head, trying to muffle her cries. But he had set his sight on her.

"What did I tell you about making a sound! What did I tell you?" He screamed and Olivia shook even more. More tears rolled down her red rimmed eyes.

"I told you to keep your crazy mouth shut, so that crazy demon doesn't somehow find you because you probably took a breath too fucking loud!" Ivan screamed and she scooted further into the corner.

She regretted making that deal, she regretted her stupidity, she should have listened to her father.

He had seen her talking to Ivan once and warned her that the leader of the next human clan was up to no good. She had pretended to accept his advice, when she really should have told Lucian about her stupid decisions.

He would have forgiven her, wouldn't he?

If only she had swallowed her pride and shame and made better decisions; spoken to her father... or anyone and asked for help. But she had been so desperate to not be seen as a traitor to the humans that she had stupidly gone ahead with Ivan's plan. And when she realized what a fool she had been, she had not wanted Lucian to know what she had done. So, she kept mute and let her fairy tale play on.

When Ivan approached her with his plan, she did not realize just how much of a fool he was and just how much disaster she was about to unload on everyone, especially her poor Lucian. Her role had been to help them unleash phase one of their plan, to push the demons away from the human realm.

When Ivan had somehow found out that she was the Demon king's mate – how he had known, she could not fathom- he had come to her, played on her need to prove that all her loyalty was with the humans - her need to prove that she was not in love with Lucian.

So, she had helped him; placed the bombs in the castle and waited for him to give the signal. Then like the idiot she was, she had truly and madly fallen in love with the demon king and when Ivan gave the signal to release the bombs, she backed out.
