5 : An Ethical Dilemma

Arohi stood there emotionless and praying all gods that what she feared should not become reality....

Arohi closed her eyes the blabbers of her sister rang in her ears ....

Abhi stood in front of her and again asked slowly .. have you got anything to tell Mrs. Sharma he grunted..

Akshara got terrified with his words....and moved few inches back...

Arohi saw the way her sister got frightened...and swallowed her saliva all in fright..

So you have nothing to say abhi asked again... But this time it was much louder and angrier....

Akshara nodded a no and ram off to her room....

Abhi did not bat an eye at akshara who saw her shamelessly walking and running off to her room...and arohi noticed this...

abhi quickly walked off to his room in anger and threw things haphazard in his rage and emotions...

Arohi came and stood in the entrance of the hall...

Abhi was about to break the jug he had in his hand but seeing her stand he threw the jug on the bed and sat on his bed with a jerk...

Arohi slowly came inside his room and stood besides him...

The strong arohi had silently broken and had been shedding tears all along....

But as she stood beside him she wiped her tears and adjusted herself...

What are you trying to get from akshara ?? Arohi asked as her voice broke as she asked...

Yehi ki abhir Mera hi beta haina?? Abhi said all agitated...

Arohi went speechless...

Arohi too heard what akshara said from then she had been calculating how old was abhir and back calculating in her mind when akshu should have been pregnant in her mind
..

But how much ever she thought if the miscarriage news was true there was no way she got pregnant with abhinavs Baby that soon and abhir was same age as Ru's..

It all made sense only if it was abhimanyu' s son...

Arohis hopeless heart gave her one dumb suggestion what if abhir was so intelligent that they made him skip a year and he is actually one year younger to ru??

Arohi bit her lips still thinking...and closed her eyes....

Abhi saw arohi a woman who had always something to say was quiet standing beside him...

The surrounding were quiet yet a storm brew inside of them

Arohi all thinking left his room while abhisaw her walk away like a corpse and held her head...

Arohi was walking to her room in her thoughts but saw her sister in her room in her corner of her eye...

Arohi wiped her tears and bit her teeth in anger and took huge steps and stormed into her room...and locked it from inside...

She walked in rage and turned akshara ina whiff and made her face her ..

Kya abhir abhimanyu ka beta hai...??

Akshu stood their emotionless...

Arohi bit he lips and shook her vigorously...

Sirf tum nahi ho pain main sab hai shock main so yeh natak band kar aur bata arohi yelled in her face...

Akshara still stood like a rock all hurt and tears in her eyes...

Arohi blew a slap on her face all unexpected...before she could respond... She pushed her to the nearby wall...

You killed my Neil because of your stupidity and ended my marriage lekin iss baar kuch hua na I will not be silent akshu.... Ab meri beti ka emotions bhi involved hai sab main... She roared...

And left her to gasp and was about to
go askhi slowly told...

Abhir abhimanyu ka hi beta hai...

Arohi tightened her first and turned ina rage and gave her a tight slap again...

Akshara held her cheeks...

Arohi held her face her fingers trying to penetrate her chin ..it was that tight and uncomfortable...

Why do you hav to spoil my life everytime?? Every fucking time!!!

Maine kuch nahi Kiya akshara said

Arohi left her face with a force..

Haa... Main bhul gii tum kuch nahi karti ho... Bas ho jata hai tere saath haina?? She asked ...gritting through her teeth...

Just then she heard a knock on the door

Arohi left akshara on the ground and walked up to the door and opened it and it was abhinav ...and arohi walked out while abhinav saw her all confused...

It was slowly getting darker and darker..

Arohi had made ru sleep and was pacing around the room... While abhi knocked at her door ...

She quickly walked up to him...

Abhi was on the verge of a breakdown...
He handed over the phone and it read the dna reports of him and abhir testing to be positive....

Abhi fell on Arohi's shoulders ...

It was like a heavy object reste on her she adjusted herself and supported herself to stand by holding his arms...
And stood there silently as her tears rolled down her cheeks..

She could feel abhi's tears on her shoulders....

He is my son ...abhir is my son ... He murmured...

Arohi closed her eyes all heart because she could not fathom what was coming after all this ...

She slowly backed off from him...and they stood next to each other... Their faces slanting from each other yet a few inches apart...

Arohi saw him in his eyes....

Her fright as a mother who did not want to be hurt was clearly visible... And arohi could send the hurt of a father who had met his son after all these years....

What was wrong that day... Was akshu wrong to hide?? Was abhi wrong to avoid her during Neil's death all questions were fading away now and seemed so pointless and unwanted now..

Arohi wanted to ask abhimanyu' to chose ru but knew he was also adamant like her and would do what he liked...

And abhi stood there lifeless torn between abhir and remembering Neil's memories ....

Both their eyes meet wanting to communicate much more than they wanted to but nothing but a silence prevailed between them tearing them down ...

Arohi wanted him to chose ru and abhimanyu was in a soup

It was indeed an ethical dilemma for both of them ...neither of them was wrong nor neither of the two results were right...
