Minas POV

Hospital Room

I heard the door open. Did Mother already get me food? It wasn't mother it was someone I never expected to show up in my life again.

"Happy birthday", she said and brought flowers over.

"...W--what? Why are you here?", I asked.

"There's a lot we should talk about when you recover", she said.

"I mean I wasn't actually expecting to walk in to see you up but it's a good thing".

"You've been coming?", I asked.

"Every day since you were admitted to the hospital".

"Really? Why do you care about me?"

"As I said there's a lot we need to talk about", she said sitting down.

"So how are you feeling?".

"I hurt".

"That was a stupid question", she said.

"Thanks for the flowers", I said.

"Still your favourite right?".

"Yes".

"Is me being here painful for you?".

"No.... not at all. I'm just confused why you are...", I said.

"...".

"Do you remember? What happened?".

"What he did do to me?", I asked.

"Yeah".

"Vividly...".

I noticed how she was clenching my bedsheet. I've never seen her do that before.

"Oh Tzuyu you here again. Thought you'd be".

Mother came in handing me food and Tzuyu.

"Oh thank you".

"Since Tzuyus is here now I'll go home to cook your father something and be back", mother said pecking my forehead and leaving.

I heard shuffling from Tzuyu. I looked at her. She was going through her school bag and brought out a chocolate cupcake and a tiny little candle and lit it up.

"Make a wish".

I smiled.

"Were you going to eat my cupcake if I wasn't awake", I said.

"Yes".

I chuckled and sat up more.

I closed my eyes and made my wish blowing out the candle.

"What did you wish for?".

"I can't tell you that it won't come true", I said.

"Tzuyu-ah".

"Mhm".

"Im sorry".

"Don't start now... Let's talk when you are better. Please let's do that when you are better", she said.

"Why can't we talk now?".

"I don't want to talk now. I want you to rest and recover. Please".

"Okay".

Tzuyus POV

Dining Room

"Hey hey".

"I heard Minas up", mother said.

"She is. We celebrated her birthday with a little cupcake and played cards together".

"Must feel great to hear her voice right", Father said.

"Yes, it does and hear her laugh and see her smile".

"Do you still need the medication?".

"I'm not sure... I might still be tormented by the fact I was unable to keep her safe from a perverted man", I said.

"We will keep onto them for now".

"Dinner is lovely Mother".

"Thank you", she said.

"I'll be off to bed now".

"Night".
