Monty was completely blown away by what Freddy had just said, 'Broke up?' the gator thought as he continued to hold the bear and tried to wrap his head around what was said. He was way beyond confused, more like absolutely flabbergasted. 'How in the hell did this happen?' Monty thought as he tightened his grip on Freddy, wanting him to feel secure and help him calm down in the process. He had made sure to avoid hurting the other with his spiky bracelets. The gator withheld his questions, he didn't want to bombard the already obviously distraught bear with questions and only add to his worsened state. He couldn't help but feel bad for Freddy, the bear did not deserve to be upset and it slightly annoyed him that Bonnie was the cause of this. Especially since the first time they met, Bonnie was mad at him for upsetting Freddy even slightly and now the bunny has gone and done a lot worse than he ever has. Monty let out a low but audible and clearly annoyed 'tut' as he thought, 'Hypocrite.' Before he jumped to conclusions, the gator mentally decided not to assume the worst and that maybe Bonnie didn't do anything too bad but despite this thinking, whatever the bunny did hurt the bear in the end. Rubbing circles into his back, mimicking what Freddy had done for him once in hope to calm him down. Freddy had lowered his head into the gator's shirt and clung to it, staining it with his tears not that the gator minded. The two sat there in silence, minus the sobs that broke through said silence and pierced the gator's being. It hurt Monty to see his friend that was usually so strong and was always willing to help anyone, no matter how stubborn, breaking down before his very eyes.
After a good long while of Freddy crying into Monty's shirt, the bear lifted his head out of the shirt and wiped his tear stained fur. The gator didn't say anything, just looking down at Freddy and still holding him close as if he would break any second. Monty knew this wasn't the case, the bear was strong and could easily handle his own, so he reluctantly let go but rested both his hands on his shoulder just in case Freddy needed the emotional support or so he told himself. "I-I am sorry. I don't usually cry like this," the bear mumbled with a somewhat raspy voice and let out a dry laugh that had no humour behind it at all. Monty squeezed the other's shoulder for comfort and said "S'fine, It's good to cry. Let it all out y'know?" As much as the gator wanted to sound upbeat to cheer Freddy up, it didn't and instead his voice was clearly filled with worry and concern. The bear had a very weak smile on his face and replied, "Yeah, I suppose you're correct." Monty didn't know what to say, he could ask what happened but that would only bring up bad memories for the other but if he doesn't ask what is he supposed to say in order to help. 'Fucking hell, What do I do?' the gator thought as he tried thinking up some sort of response or at least something to say to help. He kept trying to think of something to say until his train of thought was broken by Freddy's frail sounding voice, "I guess I owe an explanation to my sudden outburst." Monty quickly shook his head in disagreement and responded, "No, you don't have to if you don't want to."
The bear let out a clearly forced laugh, "It is fine, after all it is good to 'let it all out y'know'." Freddy quietly muttered, trying to humour the gator by using his own words against him even in a situation like this. 'That's so like him,' Monty thought with a smile on his face before quickly replying, "Okay, I'm 'ere to listen." The bear thanked him and began retelling the events of what happened.
Freddy watched as Monty walked back to their shared living space. He wished the gator would have stayed just a bit longer to hang out with them but he can't argue with exhaustion. The bear himself was feeling kind of tired from the performance but the adrenaline was keeping him going and now it was time for their annual celebration after performing to a crowd. This part always made him excited, seeing his bandmates have a well earned break after such hard practice made the bears heart warm. "We killed it out there, we have to be getting the best grades in that class! Especially when it came to the crowd, they loved us!" Roxy exclaimed, still reeling from the exhilaration of performing in front of a live audience. Foxy showed his agreement by doing the simple notion of nodding his head. Chica came over to Freddy and wrapped an arm around the bear, "Your voice was even better out there than in practice. Always hiding your talents," she giggled as she complimented him. Freddy chuckled and claimed, "I do not mean to. The crowd just fires me up and once I start I cannot stop." Chica removed her arm from around the bear and returned to Roxy's side, rolling her eyes at Freddy and adding a very sarcastic, "Suuuuure." The bear held in another chuckle and quickly changed the subject of topic to everyone else, remarking their skills, "Roxy played better than in practice as well, as well as you, Foxy and Bonnie. We all play better when performing live. The audiences energy pumps us up and encourages us to push beyond our limits." A massive smile was plastered onto his face as he spoke these words. Foxy quickly added to the conversation, "Very true."
