"Hmmmm!!!" I say masking my shock
'What is he up to.?' I ask myself
"It's not a bad idea... But let's start by telling your fiancée..." I paused "
"Where is she..??" I asked looking around, ignoring his hateful glare on me.
"Oh! Shit! I forgot... She's gonna be at home praying her man isn't cheating on her with another woman.
But I'm sure she'll be more excited to know that you have a beautiful daughter with your cousin's cousin..." I say sarcastically.
He was about to say something but his mouth closed again...
I'm glad I finally made him speechless.
I relax my back on my chair, enjoying my victory.
The look on his face was priceless...
"You'll never change... Always looking for a way to annoy me but I'm not fazed..." he lies trying to conceal his anger but his glare remains very visible.
"I know.... Why don't you call her up? Lemme invite her over for dinner and get to know her better...?"
"Why..?"
"I just explain the reason... To get to know her and she could also get to know your daughter..." I teased him.
And he glared hard at me.
"Just kidding..." I chuckled
"I don't think that's gonna be possible..." he says
"How so..? She's coming to see me as her future sister-in-law, not as your ex-girlfriend..." I clarify
"She's mad at me. She thinks..."
"You're having second thoughts regarding the wedding..?" I say interrupting him.
"Sort of." He answers
"Does she know about me" I couldn't help but ask?
"You as how..?"
"In general..." I reply
"She does... The whole family speaks about you always... The ungrateful prodigal daughter. You ran off to a different country to get pregnant using IVF... You hated the pressure of getting married, so you made your choice and disappointed your father who always expected nothing but excellence from you..." he describes almost mimicking my aunt's voice.
"Hmmm, that's nice. At least they didn't say I got pregnant and disappeared because of shame..." I tell him
"That was the women's idea at first most especially, your aunt's, but given the time she was born they were convinced you got pregnant here and all the IVF treatments stuff you posted on your status was enough to convince them otherwise, how did you pull that off"
"I have my ways... Though I applied for IVF treatment along the line, I found out I was already pregnant.
Luckily my pregnancy was 11 months... so it worked in my favor... What else does she know about me..."
