A Dragon's heart

Change is Coming

It was a morning like no other as the young boy awoke from his dreams. This young man had lovely hair of white and red hair. A scar from his past around his eye. He lives a simple life with only a few hiccups. 

He sat up slowly rubbing the sleep from his eyes seeing the rows of beds were empty around him. He was an orphan who lived by many rules in this life. He used to have a family and a home, but he was given away when he was only 4 years old for his own safety and the fact that no one wanted him anymore. 

He pulls the blankets from over top of himself getting out of the bed placing his feet slowly onto the floor. He had woken up late, so he would have missed breakfast by now, but he didn't mind as he was different from everyone else here. 

He looks to his back shaking out the pair of wings he had as he wasn't a human either. He had been born a dragon hybrid and nobody seemed to like that. Some of the other kids had their own things, but this young dragon boy was the only one of his kind here. 

The boy walks out of the large bedroom area to find the rest of the group of kids he had been living with for the past few weeks. He also hoped that his master, the one who runs this home wouldn't get upset again about him sleeping in.  

A few moments later the dragon boy walks into the small dinning hall seeing the rest of the kids who lived with him and the master. The master was sat in his chair at the head of the table. The boy's tail wagged behind him as he was worried about being yelled at. 

The master sits up more seeing the young dragon boy walking into the room. He sighs as he stood using his cane as he walked towards the young child. The rest of the children looked over seeing the dragon boy as well.

The master stands as he looks the dragon boy in the eyes as he nods. "You were late again young Shoto, but I won't take your food away this time." Shoto smiles tail wagging as he wasn't sure what breakfast was this morning, but he was for sure getting some this time as he ran to his seat sitting with the others.

Shoto soon sat down looking at his housemates smiling as he saw that everyone was eating eggs with bacon as well as some toast with butter. He quickly got some onto his plate. As the others watched him. 

Shoto was the smallest and not the smartest of the group either, but he didn't mind. All Shoto wanted at the moment was food cause he was hungry right now. The others look at him as there were only 5 others living in this household. The master had taken them all in as he had a good heart for the magic beings living in the world. 

The master was a man who always wore a suit and held a long black cane with a ball of gold for the hand holder. He also had a top hat from time to time, but he wasn't wearing it today. 

Shoto looks up seeing the five other kids watching him. Each kid had come from a different place. 2 were from the USA well the others had been found in Japan. Shoto was one of them as he had been walking the streets for 2 whole days before the master looked down at him. 

The master had been the only reason he was alive today. Now the group sat there eating quietly as the master had sat back down at the table thinking of his children. Everyone had been found for a reason and he was going to keep these kids safe until the time was right to let them go. 

Shoto kept eating as everyone just watched him. Soon one of the girl kids looked at Shoto. "Hey dragon boy slow down you don't wanna die to food right?" She said before leaving the table, but stopped bowing to the master and then ran off. 

The rest of the group did the same slowly leaving as there were 3 boys and 2 girls. One of the 3 boys was Shoto, but Shoto was the only one to stay at the table longer because he was still eating. He knew he would see everybody else later in the playground. 

The master watches Shoto eating as he plans to talk to the young man soon, but waits for the younger boy to be done eating as he wipes some dust off of himself. He looks to one of the maids allowing them to slowly clean up the dishes that were empty from the table. 

There were 3 maids as they were all women and all very good friends with each child living in the home. The master watches his maids do their jobs as Shoto slowly finishes eating. The master stands walking over to Shoto standing behind the young man. 

Shoto gets up out of his chair looking up at the man standing behind him. "Hello master...." He says slowly and low as he was worried he did something again. The master slowly holds out his free hand that wasn't holding his cane. "Come with me young one." He says as Shoto takes his hand.  

The two slowly walked into the hallway just outside of the small dinning room as the master took Shoto down into a small office sitting the young dragon boy in the chair in front of a large desk. 

Once Shoto was sitting down the master takes a seat in his own chair holding his cane in between his legs as he leans his head on the small gold ball on the top. "Shoto we have talked about your sleeping habits haven't we?" Shoto looks at the older man as he can only nod slowly. 

The master nods. "Now I want you to clean up your bedroom today as I have plans for you child. We will be leaving in 2 hours." He stands as he waved his hand his top hat appearing in his hand. Shoto watches as he smiles seeing that trick was a pretty cool thing to see. 

Soon Shoto had to leave the Master's office as he had a few phone calls to make, but it was okay cause he needed to get ready for the day as he was still wearing his PJ's still. So he headed back to the large room where the beds were grabbing some clean clothing. 

Once changed into his All Might shirt and pants, he goes over to one of the girls smiling. "Hey Sofia, how's it going?" He smiles as the young girl who was sitting on her bed playing wito two dolls looks over at him. Shoto jumps up onto the bed sitting beside Sofia. Sofia smiles as she sets down her dolls patting Shoto on the head. "I'm okay, but I don't know what to do today cause Master said that we can't go outside today. Maybe it's cause somebody bad is around." Shoto looks at her and pouts. "I wonder why I am the only one cause he just told me that we're going somewhere in 2 hours."

Sofia looks at Shoto her kitten ears and tail slowly moving as she was a cat. She was also able to shift into a cat, but suddenly a few weeks ago stopped being able to shift as the only thing she was able to do was have her small ears and tail out. She had whiskers, but they weren't very comfortable. 

Shoto was worried a little now as he was really starting to think about things. He knew that his friends were able to shift into animals like him once, but after they had gone with the master one time alone. They came back unable to shift and nobody knew why because every time they thought about it, they couldn't bring up what happened. 

Shoto now looked around as he had no idea where the master could be now even if he had left him in the office only a few minutes ago, he was fast and able to use magic to get around the home. 

Soon Shoto had started playing dolls with Sofia as the two played until one of the maids came into the room. The one maid walks over to Shoto as she tapped him on the shoulder. "The master is waiting for you at the doorway young one." 

Shoto looks at Sofia before he grabs her in a tight hug. The two hugged for a full minute before letting go of each other. Shoto hops off of Sofia's bed as the maid takes hold of his hand leading him to the front door where the master was standing. 

The two locked eyes as they walked out the door together towards a limo. The master opens the back door was Shoto. Shoto slowly went through the open door. He had his shoes on now as well because of the maid helping him at the door. 

The master soon follows Shoto sitting down in one of the seats. He watches as Shoto pushes one of the buttons as some candy comes out of a small compartment. Shoto giggles before eating some. The master stays quiet as the door closes to the limo's back. The master knocked on the window that was closest to the driver to let him know they could drive now.

Soon the limo starts moving as the master watches his youngest child eating the candy he had stored for the child to eat. Shoto wasn't aware of where they were going, so he just kept eating his candy.

The master sat waiting for the location to come into view. Shoto paid no attention to the outside wall as he was to bust eating candy. The master looked at his phone for the time as he nodded slowly feeling the small bumps in the road they were on. 

Once the limo had stopped the master god out of the limo as they had come to a medical looking place, but it wasn't that busy, but also busy around the small town area they were in now.

Shoto got out of the limo when told to as he just looked around slowly holding the masters hand. He smiles up at the older man as he waits to see where they were really going, he was only so young as he was small for a 10 year old. 

The master smiles back before walking with Shoto into one of the buildings. The two sit down in a waiting room waiting for their turn or names to be called. The master pulled out a small book opening it as he wrote something down. Shoto watched, but couldn't read it so that was no help at all.
