CHAPTER 8

It was yet another school day. But I had interest in going to school today I still can't forget the phrase Bennett said yesterday.

For some reason I didn't want to look it up I wanted to hear it straight from his mouth the meaning of the words he said to that man before killing him.

"Kill."

I can't I believe experienced murder  first-hand it was exciting as well as scary. I'm a sucker for horror movies but that incident yesterday was on another level.

*BENNETT P.O.V*

I wonder how scared she was. Would she be scared and keep shut or she'll be scared and report to the cops,  anyways I'll have to check her behaviour today to determine if she's going to see another daylight. If she was going to talk I would have to kill her. Besides I can't take any risk.

Hopefully for her sake should be willing to compromise with me.

I jump out of bed I want ready for school I'm both of my phone to ring up Jason. Before I could call him I saw his call coming in.

I answer the call.

"Hey bro I'll be down in a minute."

"Yeah sure"

He replied in his usual cheerful tone. I wonder how she does it but everyday is a good day for him whereas it's quite opposite for me.

Immediately I opened my room door the smell of toast and bacon hit me. I wasn't really hungry but I gotta take a bite.

I got into the dining hall to see Jason and my mum chatting away like old lovers.

I took a slice of bread and sipped coffee.

"Let's get going"

I totally got ignored. Are you kidding me? I walked to where Jason was sitted and dragged him by his collar.

"Let's get going"

"Yeah, I heard you the first time. But isn't there something you are forgetting to do?" He said without a smile on his face.  Jason has his scary moments.

Was I forgetting something? Am pretty sure I wasn't. So what's he talking about. I removed my hand from his collar.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

He adjusted his collar for a long time before looking at me.

"Well.....this is a beautiful morning, and you have the most beautiful mom. Yet you couldn't even accord her a good morning."

Jason winked at my mum. I looked at her and she was as red as a tomato.

"I said let's get going"

I know Mom wasn't a bad person. I just sometimes transfer the hatred I hv for dad towards her. Why? Because dad was no where to transfer the hatred to.

"Not until you greet your Mom and apologize for totally ignoring her". 

He stood firm and I knew he meant it.

"Good morning Mom. I apologize for totally ignoring you a few minutes ago.".  I faced her with a not so original smile.

"That's as good as it gets. So I have to accept it, right?" Mom asked Jason for confirmation.

"Yup. That's the best he can do." He nodded in affirmation.

"Morning sunshine, how was your night?"

Sunshine?? That's the opposite of whatever I was.

"Great. Now can we get going?"

It's not like I was enthusiastic about school. I just don't want to be around this house or anything that reminds me of Dad.

"You should be on your way now. Be good boys. Don't get into fights"

"Yes ma'am." Jason chipped in.

Like anyone can get into a fight with me. It would be more like a beat down.

I grabbed the keys to my Range Rover SUV.

"Bye Mrs Lorenzo"

"Bye Mom.
