Chapter 5: First Quidditch game... Mistake

"I think the dark elements are like relationships."

Harry explained

Hermione sat on the ground listening to every word, But his current sentence made her baffled.

"What makes you think that?"

Her mind was still muzzled from the effects of dark magic compiled over the week, She was slowly losing it but she'd prove to Harry that she wasn't going to give up or get a break until she died, And she already decided she wouldn't die.

"Hm, They don't teach this at Hogwarts, but what you think about everything matters, not just magic, I like to call it the power of thought."

Harry decided he'd explain how the way the world works.

"Your thoughts no matter how small affect your reality, This is why Witches are weaker than mages, Magicians bend reality to their wills it's extremely harder to awaken as a mage though, If the rate of a witch among humans is 1-1.000 then the mages are around 1-1.000.000"

Harry finished off, that's why Merlin and Dumbledore are so far off even if they are both ancient beings, Merlin was simply him... Even though he's a she.

"But what do you mean by dark magic is like relationships?"

Hermione questioned she still hadn't managed to wrap her head around his first statement.

"What I mean is dark magic is toxic, it's needy, it's hungry, If you study the dark arts without knowing what it is eventually you'll be an incarnation of what dark magic truly is."

Harry summarized The way the world works in three ways, You change things, things change you or you remain the same, Dark arts were among the things that could change you, Just like every other relationship you have.

"I'm ready for today's tortu- lesson."

Hermione slowly got up prepared for another day of pain.

"No, you're free for the next week."

Harry walked away not sparing another look back, He could see it and she was barely standing straight, She was even dumber than normal... she was close to her physical breaking point, He wanted to keep her alive past Christmas so he'd be able to kill her after he was done torturing her.

At least this was what he desperately wanted to believe.

"Hmm"

Harry left her alone in the darkroom he continued till his footsteps were no longer audible leaving Hermione to her displeasure, Hermione didn't want to stop working.

'If you can be useful perhaps.'

Harry's words echoed in her brain and she got to work, Going through everything she learned under Harry's unaware tutelage, In the shadows Harry stared at her, His figure hidden within the shadows and erased by a powerful detracing spell, As she weaved through different spells.

' You never fall short of my expectations... I hate it.'

Harry turned around and left, Although Hermione wasn't strong in his eyes If she were to come to light multiple wizarding associations would fight for her, She was talented in magic but her power lay in her mental strength, She could endure things experienced grown men couldn't, Harry didn't want to lose such a powerful tool yet.

'But if I don't kill her, I won't be satisfied for the aggressions caused by her in my past life.'

Harry thought, He felt puzzled, He knew he was going to kill her someday, But he enjoyed the feeling of being able to do whatever he wanted to her, If he killed her now, He'd regret that since there wasn't another one he could torture.
