As soon as Lucifer walked through my door after a long day of work, I could see the exhaustion etched on his face.
He had been working hard for the past few weeks, putting in extra hours to meet the deadlines and make sure everything was perfect. I could tell he was stressed and needed alot of rest.
I quickly grabbed a blanket, leading him to my bed. We curled up together, and I wrapped the blanket around us, pulling him close. He sighed and relaxed into my embrace, letting out a contented sigh.
"Hey, you're here," Lucifer said, his voice low and husky.
"Of course, I'm always here for you," I replied, running my fingers through his hair.
We sat there in silence for a few moments, just enjoying each other's company. The tension in his body began to melt away, and I could feel his muscles relaxing. I gently stroked his arm, feeling the tightness release as he let out a soft sigh.
"I've had a long day," he said, his voice still low and tired.
"I can tell," I replied, my voice soft and soothing. "But you're safe now. You're with me, and I'm here for you."
We sat there for a few more moments, just enjoying each other's presence. The world outside melted away, and all that mattered was the two of us, cuddled up together on the couch.
Finally, I leaned in and pressed my lips to his, the softness of his mouth a welcome respite from the stress of his day. He kissed me back, his lips gentle and tender. We broke apart, and he rested his head on my shoulder, his arms wrapping around me tightly.
"Thank you," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
"Anytime," I replied, my voice filled with love and adoration. "You're always welcome to come to me, no matter how long your day has been."
We sat there for a few more moments, just enjoying each other's company, the stress of the day slowly melting away. And as we cuddled together, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together, as a team.
