I can see you being happier with her. The smile on your face when the lights flash from her phone. Giggles erupts from her as she eagerly shows you the picture. How can I separate the two of you when all I ever wanted was to see you happy? The kiss you place on her forehead then on her lips. The look you give her is one that I crave. The morning rituals that you are accustomed to with her. The breakfast conversations the both of you make across two plates of cereal. The secrets you could never keep from her spills from your lips as she wipes the tears off your face. The embrace she gives you when you come home and hearts racing for each other.
How can I be the replacement when the one you're with gives love that pumps the blood through your body? Even if our invisible string are tied to each other, I will gladly cut it off and tie my end to her. Let me be the pillar that carries both your love to the end. Do not worry about me. I am used to seeing love unfold before me while I am left with nothing. It is the fate of an observer; to see happiness but have none of their own. Keep her safe as she is to you. I hope nothing but the best.
